Questions

Looking for suggestions on tuning. Running CF10 update 13 on a 64 bit server with 8 GB RAM, running into memory issues (I suspect). JVM is only set to 256 / 512 right now, so I'm going to increase it. CF and a handful of sites is pretty much all this server does.Suggestions on what I should set this to now? We seem to be under 50% memory usage at the present time (right now 3.44GB), and CPU is 0-2%.

I am hoping someone can help me, I have been working on and off on this problem for over a year with no luck. In February 2013 I patched ColdFusion 9 with the hotfix APSB13-03, both on my production and development servers.  Everything went perfect on the development server but production had some issues, I can't recall anymore exactly what happened but I was able to get it to the point that everything worked; meaning that all our cf webpages are served up correctly both inside and outside our organization.  The only standing problem is that the ColdFusion Administrator will not load.  Going to http://localhost/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm returnsAccording to my application.log here are a few sample error messages.  They are always the same except for the jrpp #."Error","jrpp-47","05/05/14","09:50:42","cfadmin","coldfusion.server.SecurityService.removeAuthenticated()V The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\in

Does Coldfusion 11 allow use of 32 bit MS Access datasources?

HiI installed Coldfusion 11 and have created several different CF instances using the Instance Manager. Each instance is available on a different port, so for example http://127.0.0.1:8504/ is a different site than http://127.0.0.1:8502/What I'd like to do is edit the host file on my Mac (Mavericks) to get http://127.0.0.1:8504/ to resolve to "site4", as an example.When I edit my host file I typed "127.0.0.1:8504       site4"But it doesn't seem to work. I'm guessing it has something to do with the port number being present in the url?  Yes, I saved the host file and even flushed the DNS but I can't seem to get site4 to resolve to 127.0.0.1:8504....Any ideas?Many thanks,Rich

I've had it with this new design BS.  I _might_ check in from time to time to see if things improve, but I'm not even cautiously optimistic about that happening.In any case, I hope that I'll see a few of the more knowledgeable CF people at other forums (SitePoint - I'm trying to get a CF sub going; ColdFusion Jedi; etc.)V/r,^_^

I have tried using the documented approach of adding the parameter to Neo-runtime.xml (the param was not in the file at all, I added it) and by createObject("component","cfide.adminapi.runtime").setRuntimeProperty("postParametersLimit", 120) (we successfully use this to set PostSizeLimit)I have this problem in CF9.0.0 and CF 9.0.2

Using the easysoft JDBC-ODBC bridge to connect to an Access DB. Has been working great since CF6. Currently no issues on CF9(solaris). Greetings,We currently have a couple sites hosted on a server running CF MX7 Standard and are looking at the options for upgrading since MX7 is long out of support plus it lives on a Windows Server 2003 box and MS will stop supporting that OS sometime in 2015. I've done some searching to see if MX7 will even run on Server 2008 and it seems like the answer to that is a "maybe". From the few posts I've read, it sounds like move from MX7 to CF 10 can be a bit of of challenge and the suggestion is going with CF 9. Is that the general concensus? Has anyone successfully (or not) made the jump from MX7 to CF 10 (I see CF 11 is now out though) and have any stories to share?Thanks!Mark

I have a development server and a call to webservice works just fine.On production it fails, ColdFusion comes to a slow death.  The server's processor and resources all get maxed out.  I've placed the webservice into a CFINVOKE tag wrapped by a CFTRY and CFCATCH along with a very short timeout.... and it still fails.CF 9 Windows 2008 R2.Any help would really help.
