Hello,  I recently upgraded from CF2016 to CF2021.  Now i'm not heavily into ColdFusion, our previous developer has retired so I got put into this.  Mostly I have been upgrading/changing links and troubleshooting some syntax in coding or troubleshooting minor issues.  I basically have been tasked to keep this legacy system working.  (Our company is in the end stages and will most likely not be around in a few more years). So after the upgrade, i'm able to open up my dev site for our HR portal.  The login page comes up, but i'm unable to login.  I"m getting "User Doesn't Exist or Password Expired" error.  We have a EZ-SSO client that handles our login and I can't tell if that is what is causing the issue.  If the upgrade made changes that affects the code accessing the Active Directory.  I am using a <CFLDAP> command to query the active directory.

I have the CF Admin setting for cookies set to Secure and HTTPOnly, however when I browse the app, the session cookies are NOT secure. Is there something else that needs to happen to make the cookies secure? Thanks,Tom Muck

I recently did an upgrade from CF 2016 to  CF 2021 and all went well, Thanks to the inputs from the community.  One strange thing I noticed is that one of the menu options which usually renders a login/pwd page is garbled and not working, All other menu options in our site are clearly rendering the login page fine. Anything that I'm missing here? This is what I see in the our page, other similar menu comes up with login/pwd perfectly Any help is appreciated. ThanksSajan 

Hi, As part of moving towards Coldfusion 2021 (from CF2016) and I downloaded the installer file ColdFusion_2021_GUI_WWEJ_linux64.bin and completed the install successfully the 30day trial option. I was looking for the Standard Edition and not the Enterprise Edition as we are downgrading. Question:Upon launching the admin console, it says ColdFusion 2021 Release Enterprise Trial 30 day(s) left - How do I  downgrade to Standard Edition, is it through a specific license or do i need to blow this install totally and get the installer for standard edition? Since I could not locate the specific installer file for standard edition, I got whatever is there from Adobe site for our Linux OS. Please let me  know. ThanksSajan

Hello I am using coldfusion 2021 community and sqlserver 2014 on a windows 10 machine. I have not been able to create a DSN, receiving different errors the latest error being  Connection verification failed for data source: food_09292021java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Kerberos Authentication is not supported by this SQLServer. The driver attempted Kerberos authentication because the AuthenticationMethod connect option was "auto" and no username/password was specified.Thank you in advance for your help

Anyone have any experience with ACF docker and CFBuilder debugger?I can add the server that the docker container is running and the debugger is able to connect to the rds of the server when the debugger starts. The issue is that the debugger is unable to resolve the location of the source files. This leaves me with the error message "source file not found" when hitting breaksThe docker containers files live at "/app/file" but my local files that cfbuilder accesses are local with a different directory location. Is there a way to provide a debug mapping that will resolve this?Any insight is appericated!

We have been providing a simple javascript link for for other websites to embed to display content from our site without using iframes. Basically the HTML generated in the cfm file is saved in a <cfsavecontent> variable, and rendered into javascript using document.write('jsStringFormat(content)); Other sites then embed it using:<script type="text/javascript" src="somesite/temp.cfm"></script> This has worked well for many years, but due to increased security we added X-Content-Type-Options="nosniff" to our headers. This results in a MIME type (“text/html”) mismatch error, so the javascript is blocked. As far as I can tell this is because a .cfm page is delivering js content (?) Any suggestions how we can work around this?

I am using the below code to generate a PDF.  The top part of the page is an image but there is whitespace while placing the image in the generated PDF.  How do i remove the whitespace  from the PDF. Any suggestions? Please find the code snippet below.  Attached the CURRENT.JPG and EXPECTED.JPG images. When I try to install CF 2021 on OSX Moneterey, either with the unzip installer or GUI installer, the proces gets aborted because:“java” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. Although you can often make an exception for certain files to run in the Security and Privacy settings panel, this one won't run. Has the CF team abandoned developers who use OSX or is there something I'm missing?  

Hi all, I've inherrited an old web server running CF 11 on Ubuntu 14.04.  The server hasn't had a problem in the last 2 years that I've been here. However, at about 2:00pm last Tuesday, it started to crash.  When a user tried to access the site with their browser, it would just spin.  On the server, we noted that the java task was using 100% cpu.  When we restart coldfusion and apache, we are back to normal... for a while. I've discovered that one particular url will consistently crash the server: /shop/ItemAdd.cfm I was working on that file, but I've backed out all of my changes, and to my knowledge, nothing else was changed on the server. We've done a lot to try to diagnose this. But here's where it gets odd. If I rename ItemAdd.cfm to ItemAdd.cfm.orig, I would expect to get a 404 error when I point a browser to /shop/ItemAdd.cfm, but I don't.  It still crashes!  So, I don't THINK it's a code issue. I've

Hi Community,Hopefully someone has seen this before. I have a line of code this is actually in several applications and has never causes problems before. The line of code causing the error is below. This is pretty basic stuff. Creating a object from a SOAP enabled website (it's actually a ColdFusion website from a cfc). var webservice = createObject("webservice", arguments.url); The plan for this morning is to recycle (restart) the server and see if that fixes it. If this continues to come up, has anyone seen or fixed this? The server is CF 2018, with the latest patches applied.

Our ColdFusion server only allows connections via ftps. Has anyone figured out how to do a ftps connection to a remote server in ColdFusion Builder?I see ftp ot SSH, but nothing for ftps.An ftp client connection requires TLS/SSL Explicit encryption

The following is running on a ColdFusion 2018 server (in the event this is a version-specific issue). I'm setting the Application datasource property in the onApplicationStart() LifeCycle Handler, but the datasource property isn't accessible in a CFM Template. I'm thinking it may have something to do with how the this Scope is handled inside the onApplicationStart() method, but I'm not certain. I have found that on two of my coldfusion 2021 servers, at random intervals, the CGI scope starts returning an empty struct.   When this happens, the only solution seems to be a restart of the ColdFusion service. there dont seem to be any relevant entries in any of the ColdFusion logs or the Windows Event Viewer. Has anybody ever experienced this?

Trying to install and connect to the PDFg Service.  Windows Server.  Installation of Add-On Services goes just fine and it starts up the Windows Service just fine.  In CF Admin, under the PDF Service page, I try to "Verify" the connection and it fails saying "Connection verification failed for PDF Service Manager.  Looking at the logs in the Coldfusion Add-On Services folder, the stderrout.log shows the service successfully starting up on port 8993.  However the next several lines show the error from when I try to verify the service.  I can't find any similar issues like this so turning to the community for help. Note: neo-document.xml has the same port (8993) that the service is running on. Any other ideas out there?  Log entries are below: Logs Upon Service Startup:2022-01-31 22:08:34.374:INFO:oejs.Server:main: jetty-9.4.31.v20200723; built: 2020-07-23T17:57:36.812Z; git: 450ba27947e13e66baa8cd1ce7e85a4461cacc1d; jvm 11.0.13+10-LTS-37

Hello, My client lives in Sydney and wants scheduled tasks to run every hour throughout their workday. The server is hosted in Central Time USA. Both locations go through timezone changes twice a year. I can set the JVM locale to be Sydney, making the setting of the time to run scheduled tasks straight-forward. TLDR: I cannot access the CF2021 using the built-in webserver and via Apache. scenario: I need to install/configure CF2021 in a remote host (RHEL7 with Apache 2.4.*) that's console only.
