I'm not sure if it is possible, but is there a way to wrap a bunch of various outputs from coldfusion as a single image?  I am building an email signature creator and after the user finishes entering their name, title, campus location, etc... I need them to be able to copy the output and paste it in Outlook.  The issue is that the column divs are ignored by outlook so instead of the paste being horizontal, everything ends up vertical.  If I take a screen shot and paste that into Outlook it works perfectly.  So that is why I want to have the output be an image that can be copy/pasted.  Anyone have a thought on how to accomplish this?

I'm having an issue with a ColdFusion 2018 Enterprise application server starting then stopping after a few seconds after a fresh install on a CentOS 7 server.  for the runtime user, I used nobody, and the installation was ran under root.  I can start the application server by navigating to the opt/coldfusion2018/cfusion/bin folder and running the ./coldfusion start script.  I get a message from the terminal that the ColdFusion 2018 server has been started, but after a few seconds if I attempt to stop it: ./coldfustion stop, I get a message that the server is not running.  Also, as soon as I start the coldfusion server, I can attempt to get to the adminstrator web console on firefox on the server (127.0.0.1:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm), and it goes for a few seconds but then gives me a connection error assuming because the application server stops running.  One last thing, after the installation completes, I get a checkbox that says: "I understand that t

Running CF 9.0.  Every now and then a mail file will end up in the undelivr folder.  For example our external SMTP server is twitchy, and sometimes there is no connection (briefly).  Other times it's impossible to tell why the mail fails to be sent.  The mail log says "The ColdFusion mail spool encountered an invalid spool file..." and of course the file is moved to the undelivr directory.Well... once there I cannot get the mail to send by moving it back to the spool directory.  Once the file ends up as undeliverable it will not go.  It just gets re-sent to the undelivr folder. These emails are not malformed.  They are automated messages to me and other ediotors that something has occurred on the server.  Email addresses are good, etc. These scripts are many years old and they have always works flawlessly until CF9.  Trust me, the files should go out just like all the other ones that do.OK, I've searched this forum and the Internet for like

Hi,We’re seeing very high CPU utilisation on one of our ColdFusion 11 Update 7 servers running on Windows Server 2012.We are running the server in AWS using an AMI from the Marketplace which includes the ColdFusion license etc.  The instance is an M3 Large, which is 2vCPU and 8GB memory.I have attached a trace of CPU utilisation over the past 3 months.  As you can see, we have very spiky workload, and have had high CPU issues in the past, but if we look at the far right hand side of the graph, you can see it has been pinned at 100% for a few days now:We have checked out the process monitor on the server, and we can see the WEB-INF file being created and queried over and over.We have settled JVM value min to 512 MB and max to 2048. But that does not solve the issue. We also checkout schedule tasks and looping structure but that seems fine. Can you kindly help ?

Hello, We are unable to download updates for CF2016 (specifically, update 16) to both our dev and producation servers through the ColdFusion Administrator. (I can download the file manually.) This had been working, but two things have changed: 1) the CF service is now running with a dedicated, non-admin account, 2) we applied the ColdFusion (2016 release) Lockdown Guide.Which leads to two questions:Must the CF service be running with an admin account for the download through CF Admin to work? Are you aware of anything we might have changed when applying the lockdown guide that would have caused this to stop working? (I've reviewed our configurations, and tried restoring some to the original settings, without success.)Thanks for any information or ideas.

Could anyone please help me understand the need of ColdFusion (CF) REST API when actually ColdFusion remote CFC methods can implement the functionality ? It is true that CF REST API needs to be registered and uses / implements HTTP methods. However, still intended functionality / logic can be implemented in a remote CFC method which is accessible through a URI.The bottom line is any functionality / logics can be implemented and access over http in both the cases, why do we really need CF REST API ?

Hi, So, I have two server: msrvwin2016 and msrvwin2016-02.I have 2 instances on each (cfusion and msrvwin2016instance1 / msrvwin201602instance1).I created a cluster on the cfusion instance on msrvwin2016 with msrvwin2016instance1 and the remote instance msrvwin201602instance1 When i try to link IIS and CF with this cluster selected, i have an error "An unknown error has occured".I don't have this issue with the first release of CF2018, but since the "Update 2", it doesn't work. I don't find any logs where there is more detailed informations Weirdly, it works when I select one instance and not the cluster in the Web Server Configuration Tooland when I select the cluster and there is no Remote Instance in the cluster. So the problem seems to be the remote instance, but the configuration looks ok and it worked before Update 2. Does any one had the same problem or knows what to do?Thanks,Guillaume Few screenshots:When making the configurati

The documentation for the security analyzer for CF2016 + indicates that builder connects to a service running on ColdFusion Server Enterprise running in the Development profile to perform the scan and retrieve the results. Is this service documented anywhere?  Ideally I'd like to be able to interact with this service via tools, such as Jenkins, or even better SonarQube.

We are planning on upgrading our existing production CF2018 Standard servers to CF2018 Enterprise.  I have found “migrations guides”, covering the migration from previous version of CF to 2018, but nothing covering the lateral move from Standard to Enterprise. I have been told that I will need to create a CAK file, uninstall CF Standard from production, install CF Enterprise, and then import the CAK.  In the migration guides, I read that I can just stop the service, and then run the install. Any advice on the process, or directions to a definitive guide for a change of this type would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I can't figure out what's causing these random errors. They happen 20-40 time/day. The Application server is  running CF2018 ENT,  and the SQL server is MS SQL 2017. I need to purchase a ColdFusion 2018 license, and I'm on the fence of what edition our company needs. Our company is small, and doesn't want to overpay, but I do not want our web applications to suffer from slow performance. For an environment that has around 300-350 maximum users that login, and 12 active web applications with more being developed, which edition should I go with? What are the specific reasons why I should go with this edition over the other? I'm thinking it would be wiser to go with Enterprise edition based off the companies growth, but I would like specific input as to why this would be the best choice. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

I came back to a previously working local server that accesses a remote datasource. I have no clue what changed in the interim, but when I try to run my local scripts that contain calls to the datasource, or when I try to create a new CF datasource to access the server db, I get this  error text. I don't know where to go to change time zone values.  I did see a page on stackoverflow that described how to access the CF server's JVM arguments to insert "-Duser.timezone=" and then your timezone ID. This did not work.Thanks! I should note that the template that makes calls to this db on the live server works just fine.

I am trying to use a mapped drive with cfftp. I've changed Coldfusion to run as the user with the mapped drive access in services. This works:localfile ="c:\foo\bar.txt" This doesn't. I get an error (The system cannot find the path specified). localfile ="m:\foo\bar.txt"To see if it was a cfftp issue I tried:<cfset dir = DirectoryList("c:\") /> <cfdump var="#dir#"> <cfset dir = DirectoryList("m:\") /> <cfdump var="#dir#">M returned an empty array. Any suggestions?  Thanks!

As technical lead working in an Agile deployment shop. I am having challenges demonstrating thatthe upgrading to paralelle Dev /UAT/Prod and External hosting will not work in a phases approach becauseof mixe d env/sync issues.  (timing issues) Needs to happen very quickly.Can't really upgrade entire dev/decommision, go on to UAT ........ Please let me know if i have lost it. We will NOT be able to upgrade Dev and expect to promote to UAT/Prod and Hosting server in a phased approach.  New CF 2018 has new Java Version etc. (Code/impact analysis as we documented needs to be done) Due to our agile deployment methodology. Changes from Cold Fusion get promoted to UAT/Prod and Hosting some times daily. As you stated no Freeze for week or 2 may not be possible. Not to mentionour current way from Interface DB perspective all runs through DEV (No landing server) Again would be mixed Env out of sync, challenges not sure could work.  Linux/Oracle perspective. We

Hello, all, I've got a problem that is compounded by the pandemic because almost no one who has permissions to see what I need to see are in the office.  smh Okay, so until recently we were running CF11.  SOLR collections were working great.  Then we upgraded to CF2016.  The issue that I'm having exists only in staging - production seems to work fine. In staging, we have a kind of AUA.  A question is asked via form input, validated, sanitized, placed into a database, then the database is reindexed so that the new question will be available for future searches.  But, whenever anything is done that involves the use of the SOLR collection (indexing, searching, etc.), I get an error message:  "{SOLR collection name} doesn't exist."  Now, it appears in the CF Admin, and when you open Services on the server, everything CF is running; including the Add-On service.  The 'cfusion' user has full rights to the root of the webserver, and

In ColdFusion2018 administrator, on the server updates page, the available updates are listed but there is no "download" or "download and install" button to click (on any of the available updates).

I have noticed an annoying problem with the scheduler.Everytime you edit a task it sets the start date to the current day no matter what the original start date was. This could be a problem especially if you have a monthly task that runs on Sundays and you edit it on a Tuesday and you forget to modify the start date. Surprise, it would now run on Tuesday I suppose.  I don't like surprises. Has anyone else experienced this?My Cold Fusion Version: 2018.0.02.313961 I'm planning to apply the latest update and just see if this is addressed. I'll update this post with any findings.
