Adobe Connect v2025.9.15

Automatic Revocation of Enhanced Rights in Breakout Rooms

TL:DR: When sending attendees to breakout rooms they are automatically assigned enhanced rights.

Is there any way to prevent this globally in adobe connect meetings?

Background:

We deliver online training via the system, and when in breakouts delegates only need to be able to:

  • Use cameras
  • Use microphones
  • Use the chat box
  • View the shared slides

All of these functions are enabled globally once the broadcast starts.

However, due to enhanced rights once in the breakout rooms delegates can now advance the slides forwards, view the slide notes, delete shared content, share screens, and make other changes to the function of the breakout room, which often causes issues due to the “big red button” effect.

Question:

Is it possible to disable all enhanced rights for delates automatically for breakout rooms, only allowing them to use the functions listed above.

Or is there any way I can raise a suggested feature ticket to the Adobe Connect team?

Thanks for reaching out and for clearly explaining your use case.

At the moment, Adobe Connect does not support selectively restricting participant rights within breakout rooms in the same way it does in the main room.

Current behavior

  • When attendees are moved into breakout rooms, they are automatically elevated to the Presenter role within those rooms.

  • As a result, they inherit the full set of presenter capabilities, including:

    • Advancing slides and viewing slide notes

    • Sharing screens or documents

    • Managing shared content (including deleting items)

There is currently no global or per-room setting to limit breakout room participants to only camera, microphone, chat, and content viewing while disabling other presenter-level actions.
