Connect 11 minimizes app window when sharing on dual monitors

I switched from Classic to the Standard view and when I share (window or applicaton) on my Windows 10 PC, the first monitor loses the classroom window (it is minimized). I can't find a setting to stop this.

The mini-control is disabled in the preferences and I tried changing the shared monitor (in the Connect Tray menu). No change,

I can click on the app in the tray and it comes back, but that is an annoying extra step that wasn't required in the Classic app on a dual monitor setup.

P.S.
It would be nice if the Share Screen window would remember the last selected tab instead of defaulting to Application. (Sharing an application looks strange on the student screen.)

That sounds like Connect is working as expected. In Classic, it did have the ability to keep the room open if you shared a monitor other than the one it was on, but there's a lot that changed between Classic and Standard. Not saying it couldn't mirror that functionality, but the change from Flash to HTML has a lot of odd apples to oranges comparisons.

I'll try to bring this to Adobe's attention as a future enhancement of the desktop app, but also keep in mind that with Connect 12 and the new new versions of the meeting, you can screen share from within the browser, so that may solve this issue.

Thanks for passing that along.

I teach 4-5 day classes (7+ hours a day) so I have all my students download the app. It is more consistent in behavior, remembers the logon and lists the recent classes. I find it is a lot easier to support them instead of who knows what browser and version they are using.

We always get hung up, though, with about 20-25% of the class logging in the first day as guest. They don't "see" the registered user link (would be easier if it looked more like a tab), despite my detailed instructions. I can't restrict it to logon only because someone will get locked out and I don't have an assistant handling issues during the class. If Adobe changed the look so the choices were obvious AND let me set the default (registered or guest) in the class prefereces, that would be cool.
