Participants not able to share 11.2

We have a client who is not allowed to download the AC app to their devices, so they have been joining meetings via browser.  Moving to the Standard view, we found that when the participants are granted access to share their screen, they are not able to .   This functionality is vital to the success of our client training.  Is this a 'known issue' or is there something we can do to get around it?

The desktop app is required in order for a participant to share their screen. This has always been the case.

Just curious - Are you saying that clients can't share their screens in the browser?  I thought it was always that way.  Do you mean they used to be able to share their screen in classic view?
