Running Adobe Connect Client in a Citrix enironment

Hi,

Is it supported to run Adobe Connect Client in a Citrix Environment? I have installed the client. However if one user starts a Adobe Connect sessions, in all other users sessions, that are logged on at the same server, Adobe Connect is also appearing. So it seems like, it isn't multisession capable.

Is there an official statement?

I think the most realistic solution is going to be the new, new version of Connect that is part of Connect 12. The WebRTC version of Connect will be able to run in browsers with what is basically full functionality. This makes the App optional in most cases, which greatly simplifies the deployment and use of Connect in virtual desktop environments.

    hi,

same issues here on windows server with remote desktop services. app data roaming is redirected.

when installing msi as administrator it puts files in administrators app data roaming.

it starts connect detector which launches connect client in wrong rds session (another user).

is there a statement or solution?

    thank you.

    kind regards,

    chris

My question is only regarding client. Our users have to participate on adobe connect sessions of third parties. We have no influence on their connect hostings.

I think this may be the most current article about this. https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/kb/support-citrix-xenapp-connect.html

If you don't need the users to screen share, it may be easier to just have them join in the browser, rather than the desktop app.

    Hi,

    Just tried this setup.

At the first launch of a session i get the message "to use this application, you need the Adobe Connect Add-in. Would you like to install it now?". If i install it, i get the second message, that the software is out-of-date. So i installed the update and now the new Adobe Connect Desktop software is installed, which uses the ConnectorDetector.exe prozess, which is running in background. This process will open adobe connect for all users, if only one user is joining a connect session.

Do you have another idea get i running?

@rolands11696522 What is your operating system and version? What is the Windows version and have you upgraded to 11 recently?
