How to bake a clipping edge

Hi!

 

Since I couldn't find an answer anywhere, I thought I would ask it here. I've seen it on multiple 3D models but can't make it work in Substance Painter. Is there a way to bake a clipping edge like this? :

As you can see, the normal is not correct. It should look like this:

Hello @tvtomas,

 

Considering these are still two different meshes, it can be hard to totally get rid of the seam with such a normal. You can try to make a Bake matching by name, and see if this helps.

Hi Cyril!

 

The bake was matched by name. I looked at a few other examples again and noticed something. Could it be possible that baking clipping edges only works on lower angles? In my example it's a 90° angle. I tried baking a 45° angle and it worked without any problems.
