Acrobat Pro 2017 – Request to reset activation limits for 4 perpetual licenses after complete computer fleet reinstallation

Hello,

I own four legitimate perpetual licenses of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, each with its own valid serial number.

We recently formatted and reinstalled our entire fleet of computers.

Unfortunately, the computers were formatted before we were able to deactivate the existing Acrobat Pro 2017 installations using Help > Deactivate.

As a result, when reinstalling Acrobat Pro 2017 on our computers, the Adobe Licensing Application reports that the serial numbers are already being used on the maximum number of authorized computers.

The message displayed is:

“The serial number is already in use by the maximum allowed number of computers. You must deactivate another computer within 29 days to use this product.”

Since the previous Windows installations have been completely erased, it is technically impossible for us to access the old Acrobat installations and deactivate them.

We therefore need Adobe to reset the activation count associated with our four Acrobat Pro 2017 perpetual licenses, so that we can reinstall and activate our legitimately purchased licenses on our newly formatted computers.

We can provide Adobe privately with:

  • the four serial numbers;
  • proof of purchase or any other proof of ownership if required;
  • our Adobe account information;
  • any additional information required to verify the licenses.

For security reasons, we will not post the serial numbers publicly on the Adobe Community forum.

Could an Adobe employee or Community Manager please advise us on how to have the activation counters for these four licenses reset?

We are not requesting new licenses or additional activations. We only need the obsolete activations from the previous formatted computers to be removed/reset.

Thank you for your assistance.

    no one can reset an action for you.  regaining an activation can only be done using a computer that has a current activation (and meets adobe’s security requirements).  if that’s impossible because you can’t reinstall (and get an automatic activation) on any of the reformatted computers, then it’s impossible to regain an activation.
