Move plan to student account

Hello,

I've been using the Adobe program for about a year with a regular fee, and I recently found out that it's free because I'm a college student. I want to cancel my current plan and restart with my student account, but how can I avoid paying a cancellation penalty? Is there an email address that I can contact for that?

no email. you'll need to contact adobe support in one of two ways; chat or twitter.  there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true

For account questions the best option is to contact Adobe Customer Support. 

Contact Adobe Customer Care via the website. You will need a browser that allows popups. Look for the little chat icon at the bottom right if it doesn't open automatically. To connect with a person during opening hours type Agent in the chat box.

Contact Adobe Care on Twitter. Tweet @AdobeCare with your initial question, but don't include any personal, identifying information in the public message. I've used @Adobe Care and they are very helpful.
