Creative Cloud crashed my WiFi

Creative Cloud made an auto-update and installed a new background process on my mac called "CCX Process". Soon after I received this notification my WiFi connection broke, and nothing would fix it. Apparently, this has been a known issue with Adobe's Cloud Updater for 4+ years now, and apparently you still haven't fixed this.

The only thing that fixed the issue was rebooting my machine. Not sure if this update bug is going to be a regular occurence. I hate how your software mucks up my machine and install processes without my consent. You should give users a choice of what processes to install and whether to make updates automatic or manual. The intrusiveness of your software is one of the reasons people look elsewhere to replace your products.

For future reference, turn off auto-update in your creative cloud app so you can manually update. This way you have time to research if there are issues with a current update.

and you can always use the cc desktop app to uninstall a problematic version and install one of the previous ones.

Hi @Dave389458343v45 . CCX Process has been part of the Creative Cloud app since it was created. We'd like to investigate what happened on your machine. Can you collect and upload a log file using the instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html. Once the file has been uploaded, share the uploaded file name here.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
