Question

Creative Cloud keeps asking to confirm cookie settings every time it is opened

On windows 11, every time I open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app, it asks me to set my cookie settings. Despite doing this, and the app confirming the cookie settings have been saved. It asks me again each and every time I reopen the app.  How do I stop the app nagging me for cookie settings?

Today, CC version 6.11.478.6 rolled out.  After updating and (just to be sure) rebooting my PC, it has made no difference.  The bug must also be tied to the Notifications icon as well, as I keep seeing the same message regarding “registration to Adobe MAX” every time I start CC, despite having read it.

I have the same issue, and I’m running version 6.11. Not only do I have to accept cookies every time, I also keep getting a notification about Adobe Max that reappears very time I open the app. I dismiss it, but it keeps coming back. It’s as if the Creative Cloud app has lost the ability to save its status so it forgets I’ve already accepted cookies and dismissed the Adobe Max notification.

    Hi,

I am running App version: 6.11.0.479 in the UK and I am still being prompted to select cookie settings whenever I start up my PC.

Is there a way to reset the apps cache?

    Thanks

Hi @SteveD333 It would be really helpful if you could collect and share the Creative Cloud logs using the log collector tool.

Once the logs have been collected, please click Upload and share the uploaded log file name with us. This will help us investigate the issue further and identify the root cause.

I’ve ran the tool.  I’d have thought the tool would have asked for some customer information regarding what the issue is, otherwise how do Adobe know what to investigate?  Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, it’s appreciated.

After Uploading the logs, you might have received an email with the file name. Could you share that with us?

    Hi @SteveD333,

As @kglad suggested, Adobe has recently released a new Creative Cloud Desktop app version which is 6.11

We noticed that there were other users as well who were facing the same error. It fixed for them after the update. Could you check if the release is available in your region? If not, please wait for a couple of days for it be available and then let us know if you still experience the same.

    We’re here to help.

I’m in the UK, and the current version of Adobe CC desktop is V6.10.  No manual means to update it, so as you suggest, I’ll wait until the official update appears in my region and see how it goes.
