Adobe Portfolio / Google Search Optimization Redirect Errors

  • August 10, 2022

I am also receiving redirect errors from Google's Search Optimization page, informing me that my Adobe Portfolio website cannot be indexed. Unlike a previous poster, my errors occur on pages which are not my landing page, such as my gallery page and contact page, both of which have information for Google to crawl. Google advised me that this is an Adobe issue and I should contact Adobe to resolve it. I contacted Adobe by chat and the agent said he wass unsure how to help me and that I should post here. Please help!

Hi @Lost Kos,

1. Are any of your Portfolio pages password protected?  I ask because password protected files can't be indexed by Google.

2. Have you verified ownership of your Portfolio sites (up to 5 sites are possible) by entering Google's site verification code into your site's Custom Meta Tags?  See below for details.

Example Meta Tag Code:

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="yourcodehere" />

3. Have you entered your Google Analytics Tracking Code into your Portfolio's Site Settings?

Hope that helps.  If not, post back with the problem URLs.

Hi Nancy

Thanks for the reply.

In answer to your questions: (1) none of the site's pages are password protected; (2) yes, the site is verfied with Google; and (3) yes, I have entered the GA tracking code into my site's AP settings.

The URLS that are being rejected for redirect errors are lostkos.com/contact, lostkos.com/portfolio, and lostkos.com/about. Thanks.

When I check your site on Google, this is all that's coming up.  Do these look familiar?  Did you previously use this domain name with another hosting server?

At this point, I would request Google to recrawl the site.
