Adobe portfolio video upload

Hello,

I've uploaded a video file to my adobe portfolio site. After upload a notice comes up saying that the file will be converted to a web friendly format. I navigated away to the landing page but when I go back to the video page that notice has gone. I don't know if I need to upload again? I can't seem to find any file upload history.

Can anyone advise how I can find out or whether I should just upload again? I should note that my internet speed is super slow so uploading is an abosolute pain!

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @dholl,

Are you saying the video didn't load when you published your site?  Did you refresh your browser or try a different browser after publishing?

Another option is upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and use the embed code they provide you with in your Portfolio site.  IMO, the user experience is better and more importantly, you can choose a custom poster frame image on YouTube or Vimeo  -- something you cannot do from Portfolio.

The embed code from YouTube or Vimeo should resemble this:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UNIQUE_VIDEO_ID" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Hope that helps.

As recommended in 2021, upload your video to YouTube and use the Portfolio Video Embed Module.

If YouTube can't handle your video file, then you'll know there is something wrong with it.  The native file will likely need to be transcoded differently. For details on transcoding video, see support community for Adobe Media Encoder below.

Hope that helps.
