Question

embedded XD element in Adobe Portfolio always triggers cookie banner

embedding a XD element in Adobe Portfolio via embed/iframe always triggers a cookie banner. After clicking consent the banner always reappears after reloading the page. it is really annoying and not usable for a portfolio page. why is the cookie-choice not saved for the session? is there a possibility to do that?

example page:

thank you very much for your help,

Marcel

The cookie banner is generated by the servers that host your XD preview.   Nothing much you can do about it since it's embedded with an <iframe>.  The workaround is to create a new custom Portfolio page with external link to the XD preview.   Then the cookie will be generated and saved to user's browser cache.

Hope that helps.

Hi Nancy.

Thank you very much for your answer.

Since Adobe portfolio offers the possibility to include XD projects I don't really understand why this popup appears everytime. It is useless this way. An external link is not my preferred solution, because I want the user to stay on the portfolio page.

best, Marcel

That's the problem with using an <iframe> to embed content from a URL you don't control.  Free Adobe services have limitations.  While convenient to use, embedded content is not ideal for accessibility reasons.  Personally, I think the user experience is better with an external link to the actual content.  But do whatever you think works best.

When you're ready, pay for commercial web hosting and create your own website.  Use Portfolio as a companion to your main website.

Good luck!

I know, but there is no suitable forum for Adobe Portfolio, so I tried here.
