Question

Why are creative cloud libraries not on selective sync download?

Instead of all CCLibs downloading to my computer - why aren’t they available as selective sync like Google Drive or Dropbox? Libraries are for differerent purposes, different projects, different clients etc - WE DO NOT NEED ALL OF THEM, ALL OF THE TIME, TAKING UP LOCAL HARD DRIVE SPACE!!! What is the point of a cloud service if it always dumps everything on your local drive??

I’ve seen numerous queries on this and they always seem to get shut down by Adobe….

    Hi @richyratton,

Thanks for sharing this feedback. Today, Creative Cloud Libraries sync locally by design, so assets are always available across apps, even when you’re offline.

I’d suggest you submit your feedback here- https://community.adobe.com/creative-cloud-desktop-599 under the feature requests tab, as this page is being monitored by our product team.

    Regards,

    Tarun

adobe’s cc purpose is not for saving local space. it’s for sharing files.

Then the purpose is wrong. Files are shared by clients, which you don’t need on a regular basis, but need to retain in a Cloud. The files are already in the Cloud. This doesn’t seem like a big ask to implement, and only Adobe’s slow and stubborn attitude towards user requests stands in the way.
