To Jacinta O'Donovan

I'm not sure whether this will help or be relevant but I've been trying to drag and drop (PDF) ebooks from the Reader Library to the Reader itself and encountering an error message. It was telling me that my 'Computer wasn't authorized by the ebook store' but I'd checked the status of the library and it was authorized to deal with DRM content. I Googled the error number (1106) and found another forum on www.fixya.com. There was a similar problem posted with a response from an 'Sony Expert' who suggested installing Digital Editions software. I went to the Adobe site, downloaded the software and was then able to transfer the ebooks from the library to the reader. Good luck.

Hi and thank you for your response. I have already installed digitil editions but with no success. What I can`t understand is that the first book I downloaded I had no problems with, but the next two books from the same website (Waterstones) came up with the message, "No valid licence for this book." Now, apart from this, I find I have too many authorisations and when I try to drag a book from ADE to the ereader it says something like This action is prohibited! However I have no problem with a free ebook I downloaded from the Adobe site. I have contacted Adobe via their website and sent them my adobe ID as requested and the error message. I am now waiting for a solution, which I hope won`t be too long!

Sunrise, see my response to your other post. It points to a technote that will explain what's going on (you'll need to contact ebooks to get a new download)

    Aneta,

This is what I got from Adobe and it fixed the problem right away.

Cheers,

Aaron

The error messages you list indicate that the issue may be caused by a corrupt voucher store.

The solution is to remove the old vouchers and create new ones.
o Exit Digital Editions
o Delete the folder Documents and Settings/<username>/Application Data/Adobe/Digital Editions/Voucher.
o Also delete the file manifest.xml in your My Digital Editions folder.
o Restart Digital Editions

Digital Editions should re-migrate your books and you should be able to open it again. IIf you bought your books using Acrobat or Reader, then you are done. For books bought with Adobe Digital Editions, you will need to re-download your books. Most vendors are happy to allow this.

I have EXACTLY the same problem as Aaron and exactly the same message. He is in UK, I am in Germany. How do I solve it? I did not see any answer to his problem here
