Books transfer from old ID to new ID?

I purchased 3 eBooks for my department through RS Means which required me to download Adobe Digital Editions. When I started the process I created a personal Adobe ID without realizing that the eBooks when then only be available through that ID. I have now changed the ID through adobe.com to an ID that can be used by my colleagues. Now I am wondering what will happen with the book that I originally downloaded through the old ID. Will it be associated with the new one? Do I need to erase the authorization on my Adobe Digital Editions that is open on my computer?
