I am unable to open .epub books downloaded from Barnes and Noble. Keep getting "Unlock Code Needed" message.

I am running Windows 8 and am unable to open .epub books downloaded from Barnes and Noble. Keep Getting "Incorrect Unlock Code" message. B&N help is useless. Any ideas?

the user name is not the B&N username, but the name on the billing address. And the credit card number used for the purchase is the unlock code.
