She connects her Nook Simple Reader to her in house WiFI, but ADE doesn't "show" it upper left when "Launched"??

I'm trying to get my Mom to be able to "Check out a Library Book" using "Overdrive", "Adobe Digital Editions" to get it on her "Nook Simple Reader".

The instructions say to "Connect" your Reader to your computer via a USB cord. She now has WiFi. When I get her to connect the nook to her WiFi, it connects, then when we Launch "Adobe Digital Editions" we are SUPPOSE to see the "Device" in the upper left of the ADE window....

NOTHING is there????????????????
