Question

Can I create my own materials?

Hi, I'm getting more familiar with Adobe Dimension, and having got the hang of creating 3D models, I'd like to create my own materials/textures.

I know there is another thread on this, but it doesn't outline how to do this from scratch - something I think would be useful for everyone.

The video below was useful to a point, but is an older interface and becomes irrelevant at the point when he brings the images back to Dimension as the options in the properties menu are different.

Also, the textures he creates here have to be applied manually in a step-by-step way and would be better if they would appear in the library with the default materials.

All help welcome! Thank you

I make mine from scratch using text files and texture maps i.e, old school

the new[ish] Substance tool looks nice as well but makes very procedural materials which I don't like... it may be just that I have not spent enough time learning it yet
