Problem importing more than one 3D Model

Hello,

I am trying to import four 3d models that I created, into a scene.

They are .obj files.

I'll import the first one, then use the F key to fit it to the scene.

When I import the second one, then press the F key, the first one disappears. I think it is still in the scene somewhere, but I can't find it.

How can I import and fit more than one 3D model into a scene?

Thanks everyone!

Matt

"F" is frame selection so you can use it to frame your currently selected objects.

    • With one object selected the 3D view will move to place that object center
    • With more than one object selected the 3D view will move so all selected objects are centered
    • With nothing selected the 3D view will move to place all objects in view

You can also use Cmd or Ctrl + 0 to "frame all".

the f key is focus... not fit to screen

I would import the biggest 3d model first (press F) then save that spot so you can come back to it and 4 3d models will crash Dimenson in most Macs so you may want to rendor after adding each model in

p.s, try this trick; import all models (shift + select them all and group them) then press F... I still assume you have at least one model inside another but you should be able to see all of the scene now
