Creative Cloud Desktop Error 190 on fully updated Windows 10 22H2 – KANC 7.0.7.25

Creative Cloud Desktop fails to update with Error 190 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (OS build 19045.7663).

The installer attempts to install Adobe Native Client (KANC) 7.0.7.25, but the installation fails during the OS requirement check.

The installation log reports:
“Sanity check for installation failed. Current OS version 10.0.19045 doesn't satisfy OS requirements.”
“Error occurred in install product workflow with error code 190.”

Windows Update is fully up to date.

Troubleshooting performed:
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth completed successfully.
- SFC /scannow found corrupted files and repaired them successfully.
- Creative Cloud Desktop was repaired.
- Creative Cloud Desktop was removed using the official Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, selecting “Creative Cloud only”.
- Creative Cloud Desktop was reinstalled using Adobe's official Windows 10 64-bit installer.
- Error 190 persists after the clean installation.

The installer successfully connects to Adobe servers and receives HTTP 200 responses before failing at the OS requirement check.

Photoshop and Illustrator are installed and currently work normally.

This PC cannot officially upgrade to Windows 11 because the hardware does not meet Windows 11 requirements.

Please investigate why KANC 7.0.7.25 rejects Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.

they are working on fix… for us…. just wait. i spent 40 mins with support on remote session

they have a work around that is pretty ugly and could work for some people but i wouldn't suggest it.

why they won’t change the version checker to include windows 10 i dont think we will get an answer.

So until they change the requirements page they have to give us some kind of fix.

If you pay for creative cloud subscription create a true support ticket… thats gets their attention more than this community forum.

But we all know what is coming…….

What this is crazy is my computer is an extremely powerful server based rig and tears through all adobe programs like butter and has well over 200 GB of ram, and and windows 11 claims my server board is not safe, which adobe is starting follow suite. With computers prices soaring and no need to update my rig, Adobe pushing consumers to new hardware is such a scam. I didn’t think adobe would sell out like this. Truthfully opensource will crush them, and AI will be the final nail to make me jump ship after 10 years. They have become such an arrogant company.

wow look at all of us…  this is BS.  its a pretty simple fix Adobe just change the system requirement check during the update.

    We all have supported os’s.

its right here on your requirements page in black and white

    Supported operating system apps

Adobe supports the latest and two previous major versions for desktop apps. Web and mobile apps are supported only on the latest operating system version.

For example, most Creative Cloud 2026 desktop apps work with the following operating systems:

    • Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 23H2, and Windows 10 versions 22H2 and 21H2 (LTSB branches aren't supported except Windows 10 version 21H2 for Enterprise customers through January 12, 2027

This has been going on for almost a month for me and many months for others.

Quit blaming the users pc as the problem.

We have proven what is causing the error can you please fix the issue.

Come on Adobe, please fix this. I am losing my patience with requirements that preclude my ability to use your products without making large recurring investments in hardware I don’t need to do the work I’ve always done. I’m paying a subscription for support, not more aggravation. As other have reported I too have a completely up to date Win 10 installation.

    Same bug here (since 22. 09.  2026):

All hardware specifications are met: Up-to-date Windows 10 system (22H2, all updates installed, system with Intel 12th Gen processor), up-to-date graphics driver (reinstalled), and the SSD is error-free according to the latest test. Firewall via Bitdefender (disabled for testing purposes). No special software or hardware is installed :-)

As recommended, manually installing the latest Creative Cloud Desktop (via download) results in the same error (190).

I'm using Creative Cloud Photography 1 TB (valid through Feb. 28, 2027) with this email address, and the subscription is displayed correctly. LR is still running correctly.

    Same bug here.

Adding a data point: this still fails on the September 2026 Windows 10 security update.

    Environment: Windows 10 Pro 22H2, OS build 19045.7725 (KB5122878, September 8, 2026); Creative Cloud Desktop 6.10.0.253.

    From Install.log (September 16, 2026):

FATAL: Sanity check for installation failed. Current OS version 10.0.19045 doesn't satisfy OS requirements.

FATAL: Error occurred in install product workflow with error code 190 error message

    Exit Code: 190

The failing SAPCode is KANC (Adobe Native Client), targeting C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe OS Extension. Windows 10 cumulative updates only change the revision number after 19045, so no Windows update can meet the 10.0.22000 minimum reported above. This needs a correction on Adobe’s side.
