Creative Cloud Desktop Error 190 on fully updated Windows 10 22H2 – KANC 7.0.7.25

Creative Cloud Desktop fails to update with Error 190 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (OS build 19045.7663).

The installer attempts to install Adobe Native Client (KANC) 7.0.7.25, but the installation fails during the OS requirement check.

The installation log reports:
“Sanity check for installation failed. Current OS version 10.0.19045 doesn't satisfy OS requirements.”
“Error occurred in install product workflow with error code 190.”

Windows Update is fully up to date.

Troubleshooting performed:
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth completed successfully.
- SFC /scannow found corrupted files and repaired them successfully.
- Creative Cloud Desktop was repaired.
- Creative Cloud Desktop was removed using the official Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, selecting “Creative Cloud only”.
- Creative Cloud Desktop was reinstalled using Adobe's official Windows 10 64-bit installer.
- Error 190 persists after the clean installation.

The installer successfully connects to Adobe servers and receives HTTP 200 responses before failing at the OS requirement check.

Photoshop and Illustrator are installed and currently work normally.

This PC cannot officially upgrade to Windows 11 because the hardware does not meet Windows 11 requirements.

Please investigate why KANC 7.0.7.25 rejects Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.

they are working on fix… for us…. just wait. i spent 40 mins with support on remote session

they have a work around that is pretty ugly and could work for some people but i wouldn't suggest it.

why they won’t change the version checker to include windows 10 i dont think we will get an answer.

So until they change the requirements page they have to give us some kind of fix.

If you pay for creative cloud subscription create a true support ticket… thats gets their attention more than this community forum.

I, as did many others, reported this issue a few weeks ago. It is now fixed in the latest update.

    Thank you, Adobe.

Seems to be fixed today. Bridge in Windows 10 still broken, but this was a start of seeing some response to issues from Adobe.

yes, as the current version is being rolled out, users should see alignment with adobe’s published specs, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html

    ALL

update has been pushed in the last 24 hrs for CCDesktop that fixes the 190 error along with a full update for the desktop app… to be clear i do not have Creative Cloud Desktop v6.11 installed yet.

it looks like they pushed an update to Adobe Creative Cloud Experience\CCXProcess.exe

Any ways i am on windows 10 with creative cloud desktop app version 6.10.0.252.41 with NO ERROR 190 any more.

All i did was click the update in the error window and it all went away finally! we shall see what happens with version 6.11.

    Hi

I have been waiting for a solution to this issue for quite some time now. I find it somewhat peculiar that, although the applications I actually use (Photoshop and Lightroom) do not require Windows 11, the application required to install and update them does.

I have a PC that runs these applications without any difficulty, but Microsoft made the rather curious decision to leave this particular processor without Windows 11 support, while many less powerful processors were given support. Given the current prices of RAM and other components, I have no intention of replacing my computer as long as Microsoft continues, at least for the time being, to provide security patches for Windows 10.

If Adobe really decides to discontinue Windows 10 support for Lightroom and Photoshop indirectly by making Creative Cloud no longer work on Windows 10, I will have no choice but to look for alternative software. For the reasons stated above, I certainly have no intention of buying a new computer at this point because of their decision. And judging by what I have read on this forum, it seems I am certainly not the only one to have reached this decision.

I would certainly not dare to advise Adobe on its business decisions, but it does seem rather curious to willingly lose a large number of users simply because the version dependency cannot be made application-specific.

    Respectfully yours

they are trying to take advantage of whatever code changes win 11 has that will help their apps run better. it is as simple as that.

I am pretty sure we will always be able to run old versions of their apps on windows 10 but the latest version probably won't run any more at some point in 2027.

If you want to get rid of that error now create a support ticket and they will make CC desktop work without an error. I used the solution myself but decided to wait for a real fix.

Update: Yesterday, following a Photoshop update, Creative Cloud Desktop also received an update containing the fix we had been waiting for months. In fact, at the bottom of the Photoshop update notes, there was a brief mention of the Creative Cloud Desktop update.

In my case, I had to restart my PC in order to relaunch the updated version of Creative Cloud Desktop, which is now finally working correctly.

What this is crazy is my computer is an extremely powerful server based rig and tears through all adobe programs like butter and has well over 200 GB of ram, and and windows 11 claims my server board is not safe, which adobe is starting follow suite. With computers prices soaring and no need to update my rig, Adobe pushing consumers to new hardware is such a scam. I didn’t think adobe would sell out like this. Truthfully opensource will crush them, and AI will be the final nail to make me jump ship after 10 years. They have become such an arrogant company.

wow look at all of us…  this is BS.  its a pretty simple fix Adobe just change the system requirement check during the update.

    We all have supported os’s.

its right here on your requirements page in black and white

    Supported operating system apps

Adobe supports the latest and two previous major versions for desktop apps. Web and mobile apps are supported only on the latest operating system version.

For example, most Creative Cloud 2026 desktop apps work with the following operating systems:

    • Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 23H2, and Windows 10 versions 22H2 and 21H2 (LTSB branches aren't supported except Windows 10 version 21H2 for Enterprise customers through January 12, 2027

This has been going on for almost a month for me and many months for others.

Quit blaming the users pc as the problem.

We have proven what is causing the error can you please fix the issue.

Come on Adobe, please fix this. I am losing my patience with requirements that preclude my ability to use your products without making large recurring investments in hardware I don’t need to do the work I’ve always done. I’m paying a subscription for support, not more aggravation. As other have reported I too have a completely up to date Win 10 installation.

    Same bug here (since 22. 09.  2026):

All hardware specifications are met: Up-to-date Windows 10 system (22H2, all updates installed, system with Intel 12th Gen processor), up-to-date graphics driver (reinstalled), and the SSD is error-free according to the latest test. Firewall via Bitdefender (disabled for testing purposes). No special software or hardware is installed :-)

As recommended, manually installing the latest Creative Cloud Desktop (via download) results in the same error (190).

I'm using Creative Cloud Photography 1 TB (valid through Feb. 28, 2027) with this email address, and the subscription is displayed correctly. LR is still running correctly.
