Creative Suite 5.5 activation help

I am changing laptop computers, both using Windows 11 Pro. I deactivated my CS5.5 on the first laptop successfully. I register on the 2nd laptop and it states I have used all my licenses. I created an Adobe support Case and they they said that is was end of life but I could try to deactivate my Desktop computer that is also using running on Windows 11 Pro. I feel like this is a shady attempt to disable software that is working just fine. I also tried to reactivate it on my first laptop again and it gives me the same error. I am not interested in paying a monthly fee for a product I only use a few times a year. They are clearly still using servers monitoring these serial numbers. I own a perpetual license that was functioning just fine on a modern computer as of yesterday and now it doesn’t because of Adobe. Is there an Adobe contact that can help me clear this up?

Adobe hasn’t changed anything since CS5 came out in 2011. It’s exactly the same software today as it was when you purchased it.

What changed are your computers, operating systems, and internet connection. Unfortunately, old software can’t be made to last forever unless everything supporting it remains the same.  See below.

Activation limit reached for non-subscription Adobe desktop products

In the event that CS5 can’t be activated on a third machine, these replacements might help.

    Good luck.

deactivating is tricky.  the computer must meet adobe security requirements or deactivation is only local and not registered on adobe’s servers:  https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/activation-limit-reached-for-non-subscription-adobe-desktop-applications/td-p/14804413?linkId=100000305463075

Adobe no longer supports that version at all

If the deactivation did not work properly there is nothing anyone can do to help

It’s unlikely you can do anything about it. As Adobe support correctly told you, the infrastructure that enabled CC5.5 reached its end of life (long time ago by now). The activation servers are either disconnected or not maintained anymore. (If anyone here is familiar with some kind of trick to enable CC5.5, people will chime in).
