Question

Direct download for certain Adobe applications.

I'm still struggling to find direct download links for:

- Adobe Indesign CC 2017

- Adobe Animate CC 2017

- Adobe Character Animator CC

- Adobe Muse CC 2017

- Adobe Flash Builder 4.7

- Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2017

If anyone knew where I could find these I'd appreciate a link. If all fails, are the 2015 versions of these applications much different? Should I just get those? I have found the 2015 versions of most of these, but I've held out hoping I could find 2017 versions.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, some CC 2017 apps don't appear there at all yet – and the ones that do are not the latest/updated versions, but rather still the original 2017.0 releases from November.

Adobe has not made them all available yet, so this is all we have so far... although there is continual hope and promise that this could change.

Please know that you're in good company with a great many customers needing and requesting these. Very sorry for the inconvenience!

Update: Some good news – it's been a long wait, but a complete set of offline installers for 25 CC apps is finally out:

Here Are All New Adobe CC 2018 Direct Download Links, Now Available

This includes all the tools requested above – InDesign, Animate, Character Animator, Muse, Dreamweaver, Flash Builder, and more –  in the new 2018 versions rather than the 2017 versions. (Not sure if Adobe will be adding the previous versions of those missing tools to the CC 2017 collection.)

you can wait:  those programs may be made available by direct download in the future.

Hi g_walton27,

Is there a reason you don't want to download via the Creative Cloud Desktop App?

As far as I know, Adobe just hasn't made some of the 2017 apps available yet for direct download. At least, they aren't listed on Adobe's master list: Download Creative Cloud apps. A few, such as InDesign, may be available by going to an individual app's page (InDesign CC new features | New modern and customizable UI). Other than that, I don't know of any place that has CC2017 direct downloads available. Someone else on the forum may have an idea, though.

Which brings us to your question about 2015 vs. 2017. CC2017 is a new build, and, accordingly, there are a lot of additional features. How many and how crucial these are depends on which app and what kind of work you want to do in that app. At home, I use the 2017 versions, but my work is still on 2015. I haven't had any problem switching between these workflow wise. The only issue for me is with apps that don't automatically save in a backwards compatible format (I'm looking at you, InDesign).

these are the individual User Downloadable installation files available and i don't think they include any of those 2017 programs.  differences among different versions vary by program.  why can't you use the cc desktop app to install the 2017 programs you want?

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!
