do not understand why this happened

good morning, about a month ago, all of my creative cloud workspace type changed to italics. i do not understand why this happened and how to fix it. driving me crazy because it is hard to read. and waht i am referring to is when i go to preferences, everything listed is in italics. when i go to properties, the words character, text syle, appearance, everything is italicized. why? if anyone can tell me how to change back to regular type it would be appreciated.
