Error Message when Installing on OSMonterey

I am running OSMonterey 12.01.1 and am attempting to install Acrobat DC.  The download itself went fine.  But when I attempted to run the installer, I received an error message that stated

“Acrobat DC Installer” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software."

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

It then forces me to close the installer.  I tried to download the update, but of course, you need to have something installed for it to update.  How do you fix this problem?

Sounds as if this isn't the installer made for Monterey, but an older one. Where did you get it?

if you have an acrobat subscription, install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.

if you have trouble downloading, use the alternative download site at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

if you have a perpetual license, is that a enterprise agreement or vip license? if so, download here Download Acrobat DC installer for Enterprise term or VIP license (adobe.com)
