Error P201 trying to install Creative Cloud on Windows 7

Hi,

 

I have a Windows 7 machine where I am having trouble installing Creative Cloud. I used to have Creative Cloud and my apps working fine on the same laptop running Windows 7 until a few months ago, but after some hardware failure I had to reinstall the whole OP and now I'm unable to get CC to install on a fresh Windows 7.

My internet connection is fine and stable, I don't understand why error P201 keeps popping up right at the start of the installation process.

I understand that only the previous versions of apps are available for older OPs like Windows 7, nevertheless I should at least be able to install CC and download an earlier version of Lightroom Classic, just as I did a few months back.

Or has something happened and now CC cannot install any longer on an outdated OP?

your os is not compatible with any current adobe cc apps, including the desktop app.

 

 

 

that said, there is a way to install older apps, if you have a subscription.  this won't work with a trial.

 

1. you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

2. for versions cc 2019 and older, use prodesign tools.com*.

3. for versions newer than cc 2019 but older than one previous version, contact adobe support for links.**

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file. it may not remain online.

    Thank you so much! I was able to download the CC desktop with your guidance, from

    For anyone reading and having the same issues as I did, I also had to enable TLS 1.2 by running MicrosoftEasyFix51044.msi from

    https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/unable-to-reach-adobe-servers.html

    This solved the "Unable to reach Adobe servers" error I was getting after the CC desktop app had installed.

    I have a subscription (Photography plan) so I'll reach out to Adobe support for the Lightroom download link, it seems even after revealing the previous versions in the desktop app, no Lightroom version appears to be compatible anymore with my OS.

    to test your default browser's tls you can use , https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

      Windows 7 is no longer supported. You need Windows 10 or later.
