I can not uninstall the software either, I already tried that. When I click on the "add or remove" software, it automaticly thinks I'm trying to install it and says I cant install??

Well.... that was abourt worthless. They pretty much told me they dont offer support for "older" version of software which is just wrong..... It pretty much like saying: Thanks for buying our product..... a long time ago.... you were once a valued customer.... you now are not because there is a new version out????

Thanks to everyone for your help. I just really need to figure this out. Its just funny how ADOBE is the ONLY thing that dosent work on my computer after my new hard drive install.

Thanks again kglad. I have walked through several of these and no results. When I launch InDesign in gives me the "Licensing has stopped working" But that is the only program. The rest tell me I may need to uninstall and reinstall the programs. They wont even try to start up. I believe the problem started when I tried to use the CC Cleaner tool. I believe it deleted something. It now gives me an error message:

The alias “Add or Remove Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.

When I try to open the Add or remove Adobe Creative Suite. So now at this point it seems I cant even "Uninstall" my software? Is that right? Sorry I'm pretty dumb with the whole computer thing really

    Thanks again

I'm at a loss here really. I could really use some help here. I'm very compute smart and my business is suffering being down for two days now with no Illustrator. It wont launch any Adobe programs except for Indesign. And when it does it gives me an error code that my license has stopped working

if you're seeing a 'license has stopped working' error, Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS

Now when I try to open the "add or remove" it gives me an error message, saying my time machine backups is no longer available?

I have used the cleaner tool and it appear as though it erased things? I'm using mountian lion 10.6.8. Which is what I was using before the crash, for years with no problem at all. Now I can not open ANY of my adobe prodducts. I'm hoping this is a simple fix... my business is depending on it... Although I'm very frustrated that there is NO support on this matter directly from Adobe. I really do appreciate your help so far kglad and A.Kubba

A.Kubba, I will try this now. from what I have seen, under utilities, I should have a "adobe installers" folder, which I do. Under that, there is a file that says install or remove. When I click on that it just assumes I want to install. Then I tells me Adobe doesn't support my software

    Hi,

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the product in the root user of the computer.

here is a link to enable the root user.

clean and then try to install, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

if that fails, what software and version?
