Hi everyone. I am trying to download InDesign 2022 to my Macbook laptop but it never actually finishes. I try opening my Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app, but it keeps saying that I can't reach the Adobe servers. How can I fix this? Thank you.

adobe connection errors are common and are not related to whether you're connected to the internet.  they're related to connecting to adobe's secure servers.

if you have a non-current os, your default browser must support tls 1.2, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html

to test your default browser's tls you can use , https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

otherwise, confirm that you can connect to the secure adobe servers by reading, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

do you see both logos after clicking "link"?

if you can and still see a connection error try these steps, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/common-network-connectivity-issues.html

if those all fail, white list the adobe network endpoints, https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html

it's no longer available.

1. you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

2. for versions cc 2019 and older, use prodesigntools.com*.

3. for versions newer than cc 2019 but older than one previous version, contact adobe support for links**.

---------------------------------------------------------------
* most (but not all) adobe download links are available from prodesigntools.com. https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html

follow the directions (esp, step 1)

save the install file. it may not remain online.

thank jim @ prodesigntools.com

** this support is currently not available. ie, there's a significant gap (between 2019 and last year) in the available previous versions.

opposition to this decision (to limit available previous versions) has been conveyed to adobe officials who are therefore aware of the problems caused by this policy. however, unless/until changes are made, nothing can be done to legally access these files.

See the following link to investigate the issues your computer might be having when trying to connect to Adobe servers

Assuming you have a suitable system spec, including at least 16GB of RAM and plenty of spare hard disk capacity, try uninstalling the Creative Cloud app and reinstalling it again. See if that allows you to download InDesign.

Is there a way I can uninstall it without deleting the apps I have? I tried doing that earlier, but it said I couldn't due to the the apps I have that needs the cloud.

You can keep the previous version of InDesign on your system as well as the new version. Just keep a careful eye out for the messages when you dowload the latest version. That will give you a chance to sort things out with your apps.
