Installing Creative Cloud-Error 205

Tried installing Creative Cloud to a laptop running windows 7 64 bit. Windows firewall is turned off and there is no virus scanning running. I can download the file but when I run the downloaded Creative Cloud Setup File I get the error "there seems to be a problem with the downloaded file... error code 205". I have tried it both wirelessly and connected to my home network. I have tried running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. I have tried rebooting the computer but in all cases I get the same error.

To be clear I can download the file but when I run it the dialog comes up Initializing Installer and then I get the error code 205 message. Tried both Internet Explorer and Chrome. Same result.

Any other ideas?

JulesinBuffalo here, my IT department never found me a permanent solution.  They move me to the other side of the firewall whenever I have to do an update like that.  It probably doesn't help you much, but that's what worked for me... Best of luck with it!

I am having a similar problem, but my Creative Cloud download is only 601k. I've tried downloading at least 10 times, tried rebooting 5 times, turned off all AV and Firewall, nothing is working. Any ideas? Oh, and I am connected via LAN, not WiFi.

I will try this link. The file downloaded was 2,743 kb which is the same size as the file that was downloaded to the computer which I installed Creative Cloud to successfully so I don't think there is actually an issue with the file.
