Not sure if this email is a virus

Hi I am received an email not sure is this a virus email, could you verified it whether the attached is safe to download. Attachment is an Adobe Acrobat SDK Version 8.1. Appreciate if you able to advise me or any email let me forward the email to you for checking.

It most definitely is a virus. 2018pdf is the dead giveaway. A true pdf would be 2018.pdf

Fake pdfs are how viruses are planted. Double-clicking it would execute the virus. Delete it now.

Don’t delete it. Instead, please forward it with attachments to phishing@adobe.com so they can pursue it.

You can delete it after forwarding it.

I didn't know Adobe had a program in place for phishing emails, but it is a good idea to report it.

Hi Gene,

I think I learned about it in one of the CAB meetings a while back. Now I just Google [adobe phishing] when I need to find that page again. They do want to track the source for these things, although deleting it is never really wrong.

You get the SDK here: What is the Acrobat Software Developer Kit? | Adobe Developer Connection

It wouldn't fit in an email attachment and Adobe does not distribute their software via email, it's a virus, so just delete it.
