Photoshop CS6 for Mac: a validating problem

I have reinstall my Photoshop CS6 for Mac, which is registered in Adobe since 2013. I´ve used my serial number to activate it, but when I opened the software, a window pops up: " You trial version expires in 29 days" (image_1 attached). When I tried to use the serial number and start my Adobe session (image_2), even using the activation code that Adobe send to my phone, a pop up window for the starting session has appear once again (image_3).

The technical assistant from the Contact Center told me there are no longer Adobe validation and activation servers for so old products, therefore they can't recognise my serial number after the reinstallation. They refer me to this Adobe Support Community to find help of specialised technicians.

I have a licenced software, which works perfectly but that will expire in 29 days. I hope you could help me. Thanks in advance.

(Sorry for my English mistakes, I hope you could understandme anyway).

With High Sierra, also see this page. The activation servers for CS2 and CS3 have been shut down, but not the one for CS6:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/activation-deactivation-help.html

Only Customer Care can help with activation and resetting activation. When you contact them again, get a case number and ask for Tier 2 support if they tell you the same thing.

Thak you so much, Jane. I contacted with Adobe Customer Care but they didn't give me a solution. I had to insist a lot and then they offer I contacted personally with a technitian. The technitian said CS6 doesnt't have technical support now but I explained I only need activation support to adjust my activation count. Finally another good (and patient) technithian took control of my computer and solve the problem. Photoshop CS6 is running perfectly in my computer now!

@Carolina Lorenzo,

Which Mac operating system do you have?  I ask because legacy Creative Suite is discontinued, unsupported and will never work on Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey. 😞

Likewise the old installers are NOT compatible with Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave without terminal workarounds.

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

And if you have an older OS, you need TLS 1.2 connections to connect to Adobe's servers for security reasons.

The long and short of it is this:  You need to upgrade.  If not today, then very soon.  Creative Suite is end of life.  Below are links to modern Adobe software.

MODERN OPTIONS:
Photoshop Elements or Premier Elements (approx $100, no subscription needed).
https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html

Creative Cloud Photography Plan (approx $10/month for 12 months). Includes the following:
- Photoshop CC and Photoshop on iPad
- Lightroom on desktop, mobile and the web
- Lightroom Classic
- Portfolio website + hosting
- Spark with premium features
- Bridge
- 20 GB cloud storage (upgradable to 1 TB).

Beware of fake Adobe reps who may contact you privately offering to sell you software or take control of your computer. It's a scam, run away! Real Adobe employees will never reach out via Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail or Skype.

Thanks, Nancy. I have High Sierra, although I haven't any problem during the installation. Everything seems to work perfectly, except the validation. I was hoping there was some solution to be able to continue using it. You gave me great information. Thank you very much.

Hi!

I´ve received a private email from someone of this community. He gave me an Adobe Customer Care Team email address where they could solve my problem. I wonder if this is a legitimate email address from Adobe Support:

AdobeHelp24x7@outlook.com

Why would Adobe, a Billion dollar company, use an email address that is not .Adobe.com?

That is a scam, trying to steal your information

Post the forum ID here and someone will report that person to Adobe

-or Report abuse/phish/spam http://helpx.adobe.com/security/alertus.html

Adobe does NOT do support by email, so beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message

Adobe does NOT provide support via email, and any employee would be using an @ adobe.com address. They change up the addresses, but this one is also a scammer.

Than you, Axel, for your reply. I'm afraid that isn't exactly the same problem. I haven't any problem during the installation, the software works perfectly, but Adobe don't verify my license number. This Photoshop license is already registered to my name in my Adobe user but they don't match the installed software with this license. I think they should have a way to verify my license number as I paid for it.
