Re: Creative Cloud Installation

Hello, I have the problem with installing the Adobe apps on my external hard drive on Mac. I have created the folder in a connected hard drive, but I get the error message back: UNABLE TO INSTAL AT THIS LOCATION.

What is a difference between a root and folder? I don't know what I am doing wrong. How to create it? Thank you,

    Please ensure that your device exceeds the min-requirements to use Creative Cloud products.

    • Windows 11 (64-bit) versions 24H2, 23H2, Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2;
    • MacOS 15 (Sequoia), 14.7 (Sonoma), 13.6.7 (Ventura).

    Adobe Creative Cloud apps are not designed to be installed directly on external drives, and attempting to do so can cause problems with performance and compatibility.

    You may not be able to use an external hard drive which is Windows-formatted. Why not just install in the Applications folder on your internal drive? That's where software is supposed to go.

    the root would be something like trying to install on E: whereas a folder on E would be E:\Adobe

    Thank you, sorry for keep asking, how can I create a folder on E which will not be a root? And how to choose that folder for installing an Adobe apps without a message: UNABLE TO INSTAL AT THIS LOCATION.

    in your file browser, right click on your external drive > click create  directory or folder > assign a web-safe name.
