Re-install of CS3 design Premium

After a system restore via Time Machine, my CS3 suite would not open any of the programs.  (Obviously on OS X)

With the activation servers gone away, I downloaded the special CS3 version supplied by Adobe. The problem is, it will not install because I cannot deactivate the version that is on the machine now. The reason is that the program that is on the machine now refuses to open.  So I cannot deactivate it.

Is there any other way that I can deactivate the software on the machine now so that the special version of CS3 will install?

Thanks in advance, Mike -

    Peru Bob,

CS3 & Acrobat 8 Activation Servers were retired.  Users must log-in to receive a new download and serial number.

Use the CS Cleaner Tools to wipe all traces of Creative Suite 3 from your system.

I need help too, I can't use my adobe products I bought many years ago. They said I need to come here to get an activation code or something. They refuse to help me over the phone even though they generated a new code for my friend just last week. Very unhappy.
