I recently upgraded to Dreamweaver CC. I am not a full time developer and really liked the ease of the Add Record, Update, and Master Page Wizards I had in version 5.5. I have added the server behavior but do not see any of the wizards or the ability to add them? Are there wizards available in this latest version of DW? Thanks.

It's driving me insane as to why, but my chrome preview will not update when I change my CSS. Firefox and Safari update, but not chrome. I've restarted my Mac, but nothing happened.What can I do within Chrome to clear the cache (or whatever) for a specific site rather than have to clear for all sites?

Hello & HELP!  I purchased Dreamweaver last year after Contribute was dropped by Adobe. I built my complete website using Contribute, but I'm having lots of trouble with Dreamweaver. I am trying to do simple editing, but a pop-up keeps saying "page is checked out by (me) - do you want to over ride?" I am the sole user.I am able to 'Get" a page and do some editing, but it will not let me "put" that edited page.Also, the "check-in" button is locked and I can't figure out how to unlock it. Any simple suggestions in layperson terms (I'm basically useed to Contribute). Thanks in advance! John

Why does Adobe permit third-party vendors (i.e., "Partners") to scam its customers via the Exchange? There is a Dreamweaver Exchange vendor called "DWUser.com" that sells extensions that do not work and cannot be activated. The Developer in question does not answer support emails and appears to be out of business, yet Adobe is still selling his crappola in the Exchange, thereby knowingly ripping-off its customers. Others have apparently already complained about this, yet this dirtbag vendor is still in the Exchange.  Someone should sue both Adobe and this vendor. 

I cannot find Support files of this book: Abobe Dreamweaver CC Classroom in a book (2014 Edition).Anyone can help me?Pls.

Hello, I am working with a new customed html site. And successfully uploaded it to our new host.   Except for our test pages, which are:index.htmlindex.htmindex1.htm All are marked with </> BTW, everything else was uploaded without a problem.   Only thing that didn't FTP over were the index pages.        How do I update the pages so I can upload them to the host? Thanks,Tom 

Hi,I'm having an issue with inserting data into a table "property" I need to upload a few documents to a document folder on the server in two different locations but I am unsure how to do it with DW.I have seen some example scripts but they don't seem to do what I need. My form input is:<input type="file" name="epccert" id="epccert">And<input type="file" name="agree1" id="agree1">They are all named differently.I'm using the Insert Record server behaviour and not sure where to enter the script to give the upload locations.The scripts I have seen would need to be added over 10 times for each of my elements which seems a little silly.Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks in advance

Don't know how to use html.    I managed to create an html file with a clickable image AND managed to upload it to my website.  The image is clickable and redirects to the appropriate page but now it leaves behind these icky blue lines?

I have 30 separate newsletters I want to include on my site.  They are all PDF files.  Page length runs from 6 to 10 pages per newsletter.  Obviously it is better to id the newsletter by Date - say Jan 2018.. Click on the date and the newsletter pops up.  How do i do this?  What format must the files be saved in.?

How to align text and image in dreamweaver cc 2019

I'd like to know how to fix a problem which is : whenever I open Dreamweaver 2020, it automatically closes !!

Access to Macintosh HD:Users:Me:Documents:WebsiteFolder:style.css was denied Hi folks I'm getting the above message - which means my websites cannot access the CSS file.  I'm not very technical. Can I have suggestions on how to allow access? I would be very grateful. Best wishes David

I have contacted my service provider, Network Solutions (NS), and they worked with me. We got the entire thing matched up and ready to go - but it didn't. For some reason the darn thing won't allow me to transfer pages. The entire access is denied. Either from their, NS, end or Dreamweaver's, my, end. It reads "An FTP error occurred - cannot make contact to host. The remote host cannot be found." Everything should work. The woman at NS confirmed that all the information I have is correct but I still get the same error. Help!

I ran into issues with having edited a default css template in Dw version 18.1.  I got onto the online support to find out if there was a copy of the orginal file that I could over-ride the edited version.  The support guy, apart from taking a fair while to respond, came back with the stock standard advice of 'run a update' but seemed to not understand this simple request; also saying that file was not linked to Dw.In the end I donloaded the latest version, 20.1, and there was the exact same css file that I was after.

Using DW v 20.1 under Windows 10 64-bit, many menu functions are grayed out/nonfunctional. Includes copy, cut, paste, about Dreamweaver, open, close, close all, etc. With a file open and with text selected, this is the status of my Edit menu:I have uninstalled and reinstalled DW. This issue does not occur in other Adobe CC apps. I saw this issue cropped up a bit in 2017 and 2018, but I haven't seen more recent complaints. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi FolksOver many years I have run a weather station and have never been really happy with the display software .My question, is Dreamweaver capable of displaying near realtime weather data which would vary  (refresh) on a regular basis ?I am looking to display on a website paramaters such as wind speed , direction , temperature , humidity , barometric pressure , precipitation etc .I would be looking to display these data in the form of gauges and graphs etc.Several years ago I was using Dreamweaver to create a website so I have some knowledge on creating a site.Any advice would be much appreciated , Thanks.

Hi thereI have to create some course content to be delivered as web pages. I plan to use Dreamweaver and style sheets to keep it really simple. However I have a lot of content to write and compile and I don't believe Dreamweaver is the right tool to write the content in.So I'm looking for past experiences of suitable workflows for managing mutlipage content in one place, and converting it to basic HTML with CSSI have tried copying and pasting from Word into Dreamweaver and this seems to work ok. Linked CSS file will override default styles etc so minimum messing around in Dreamweaver to apply a style. But I'm not keen on Word for writing the content in. Just wondering what experiences people have where you're creating a large hierarchical content piece that is to be converted into single web pages with some kind of Table of Contents. I was wondering if Dreamweaver is even the right tool for this. Copying and pasting page contents seems very clunky and prone to error. Ideally I'd h

I just (04-20-20) downloaded and installed the lastest version of DW CC. When I copy text that has links in it from a Word file or from a website page, the links do not copy over into the DW file I am working in. I've been using DW since 1990s and have never had this problem. Help!

I am using Dreamweaver CS6 on a mid-2011 iMac. I designed and published a website http://wisconsin-auto-historians.org/index.html When viewing the home page on my iMac the subhead in the body appears correct showing it as 18pt Ariel bold italic. When viewing the home page on my iPhone7 the subhead appears much smaller, 12 pt Ariel Bold  italic. this happens on three of the website pages (About Us, Activities and Contact). On the Wisconsin Projects, Join and The Spark/Carhart pages the subhead appears as the correct size, 18pt Ariel bold italic. I have compared the code for all the pages for the subhead in there is no difference in the code other than the wording of the subhead.  My question is How do I fix this? Here are screen shots of the “About Us” page from the iMac and iPhone. I've never had a problem with creating web photo albums thru the dreamweaver Command, but now I am getting an error message that say 'This command requires an active document" after the process has started and gets part way through. Any suggestions would be greatly welcom.
