Hi I'm new to Dreamweaver even though I have been using adobe for 4 years or more. I'm not sure where to start on my project. I wish to provide information to people I work with on a website from a spread sheet that is dropped into a file every 4 hours. The employees will each need to login to get only thier information. This will have to have some box's to display sales information. Is dreamweaver the right choice to try to do this with. Where do I start. Thanks from a newbie in advance.
ATTENTION users of legacy Creative Suite & helper apps, you would do well to stay away from Catalina. As other users are learning the hard way, just because an app is 64-bit doesn't mean it is fully compatible with Catalina. If you have any doubts, test Catalina on a 2nd machine first.

I mistakenly made bootstrap-4.3.1.css writable and I don't seem to find the way to lock it again. Any suggestions? I prefer for bootstrap to be not writable as I don't trust muself not to mess with it...
Hello. Whenever I want to save multiple files for preview, I get an error message saying "Save all the files, including related files to preview". Like I just completed a pretend website, and all the sudden I wanted to add more pages. I name the pages with a .html at the end. It still gives me the same error message. I tried all the trouble shooting information and watched Youtube videos but they were not helping me well. I was hoping to get some help resolving this issue. Thanks.
Hi there,So I have an accordion that displays an icon in the open and closed states. The problem that I'm having is that when i place a hyperlink in the copy it adds the icon as well. The icons are set in the main wrapper class. Since I need the icons for the open and close state and the hyperlinks as well I'm not sure how to handle this. Thanks for any help. I have always had green couler for my local files but not since I upgraded to win 10. I have had Dreamweaver 8 but now with this new win 10 I get a simple grey on my files and folders (local) but yellow on remote. Otherwise it works and behaves itself beautifully.Can anyone help please. I cannot code so anything more simple will suit me fine.involving this situation.John

Hi,I'm using Adobe dreamweaver cs6 trial. I open any file, then click View Code. The program is not responding. The error message "Adobe Dreamweaver cs6 stopped" and the program has closed.I have reinstalled. It crashes DW to close again.I'm running on Windows 7 x64 sp1 ultimate, cpu corei7 q2630 ,ram8gb ,nvidia gt540mThank,Paul.
Purchased a download and licence for Dreamweaver CS6 in 2014. PC has suddenly developed a hard drive issue! Is there anyway I can re-install CS6 on a new machine? Still have the licence key. Thanks.

Well as per usual Adobe has broken a working feature.Dreamweaver only connects to certain servers now via ftp. SFTP/FTP over SSL is broken.I can connect perfectly to the server(s) in question with putty and WinSCP(sftp) on Windows, but as soon as I try with Dreamweaver it displays an 'FTP error occured - cannot make connection to host.' Triple, and Quadruple checked the server name.- Windows 7 Firewall is allowing the program through.- Antivirus turned off.I see other people are having this problem and also with Muse. In fact one of these servers I cannot even connect via regular FTP now....Any solutions yet?
The option in Dreamweaver to associate a Git Repository with my site is gone. The Git tab is blank with no task icons.I have been using this functionality for years without issue. Today I open up Dreamweaver and the option is grayed out. I have made no changes to my computer other than Windows 10 update.

Hello, I need a modal for the index page of a large website - it's for users to accept internet policy to proceed on to the website. I've managed to get it to open on page load unfortunately each time a link to the home page is clicked or the page is refreshed the modal pops up again Can anyone advise me on how to keep it closed after the first visit please? I imagine javascript is involved but I'm not experienced in that.Many thanks.
I think Dreamweaver updated without me and now I can't put my files to the server. The server error message says "An FTP server occurred - Cannot make connection to host." I may have not added it correctly as it still doesn't connect. Same errorAs a business, this is a really bad situation. I hope someone out there can help. Thanks,Debra
Why do the fonts look different in the top row between the first column on the left and the rest of them to the right? PHP professionals (Nancy, if you are listening), I FINALLY have a working form, thanks to the great tutorial by Nancy O'Shea. But for my intent and purpose all I want is a Comment form. I know how to get rid of the form fields I don't need (Name, Email, Phone number), but I don't know enough of PHP (yet, still learning) to work out what to strip from the following code. can someone help me again i have created a template with a header and footer that works great but i am creating a cooking website so inside the template i want to create a page for diffrent recipes, so i want to lay it out so every time i upload a recipe the layout will be the same so instead of creating a new layout all the time can i make a template inside of my original template.thanks
Is it possible to create a table layout with variable content?I want to use the same table layout different times on my website, each with another image and also with different content.The easiest way is to copy/paste the layout and change the content, but isn't there another solution? (with less coding and more flexibility)
