Using Dreamweaver CC 2019 Google Maps now requires the API key be embedded in the js script source, for their free maps so I have had to add API keys to a couple of my sites. They warn that these API keys should be hidden to avoid misuse. How to I achieve this? Here is the call out: <script src="//maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=MY_API_KEY&v=3.exp&sensor=false"></script>I need to keep the info relating to my API key hidden. Eventually, I want to switch the maps out with another free map that doesn't need to be monitored so closely to avoid fees and abuse. In the meantime, I am hoping for a quick fix to keep the key hidden.

Hello,One of my clients is having an issue when checking out files in Dreamweaver from a local FTP Server, we have checked the settings and they match one of his colleagues who are not having the issue. When he is checking the file back into the FTP Server the following in the FTP log:  > PORT 192,168,1,80,253,161  < 200 PORT command successful.  > SIZE filename.aspx.LCK  < 213 47  > RETR filename.aspx.LCK  < 125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.  < 226 Transfer complete.  > DELE filename.aspx.LCK  < 250 DELE command successful. This isn't happening on each check in, just on certain ones. Doing some digging into the two status codes I can find 213 - file status / 47 SSL policy requires client certificate. The FTP Server is IIS v10 running on Server 2016Can anyone shed any light on this for me?ThanksStan

Hi,I use this feature fairly often. I noticed that sometimes it does not return results after the initial search that did give the results. It just happened to me again, while using regular expression.Case, step by step:- I open Dreamweaver, and use the feature for the whole local site.- I test the query first by pressing Find All button only.- I get 112 results- Then I press Find All button again and it returns zero results.No matter what I do within Dreamweaver after this, the search returns zero results.The only solution is to close the application and open it again. I use it on Mac.If I use this without regular expression turned on, I always get the results.Thanks

Recently switched from Dreamweaver cs6 where I could drag and drop any local file to any page. Is this feature no longer available in DW CC 19.2? I was able to drag and drop things defined as assets (image, media, etc.) in CC 19.2, but it doesn't appear that pdf's are considered an asset. My typing sucks - so drag and drop is a great feature for me, would rather not type the URL to each PDF document if possible.Thanks for your help.

I have 3 websites all created the same way from my own templates (different templates for each site) but all have the same problem.  I am using Dreamweaver CS5. My latest site is berksandmarlboroughdownsvillages.co.uk which has a page for each village in the Berkshire and Marlborough Downs. The site uses two templates, one for all the "village" pages and the other for all the other pages (Home, List of villages, About the downs, etc.). When moving from one page to another there is a slight but noticeable "jump" to the right and back again, even if the pages were created from the same template.I have spent hours trying to work out why this is as I have never seen this fault on other sites and obviously it shouldn't happen.  I have checked through the code, tried things like standardising page lengths so they either all have or do not have a vertical scroll bar, centralising the site, but nothing works. If anyone has the answer please let me know.

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, I can't for the life of me figure out how to use Bootstrap! I need to do a simple site for a client. I've been to the Bootstrap 4 Get Started page, but I don't understand anything! It gives examples of code and then tells you to try it yourself. Try what? What do I do? Nothing I do to the code in the examples does anything. I went to the Adobe tutorials but I can't find any help there either.I opened a new document in Dreamweaver with a Bootstrap starter template, and I can't figure out how to do anything with that either, such as just put an image inside the jumbotron container. I'm not a neophyte - I started building web sites years ago with Page Mill, then graduated to Dreamweaver. But it's been a while since I've done any web design. Hi,I’m having issues with Dreamweaver which automatically alters the width values of my image when I change/swap an image.The width value is set to 100% (width=100%) as the image is held in a responsive div container. When I come to alter the image (double click on the image in design view) or alter the “Src” in the properties tab the new image is automatically changed from the 100% value to an absolute value (400). ../image/example1.jpg" alt="image 1" width="100%" />changes to ../image/example2.jpg" alt="image 2" width="400" />I can alter the width manually, but it is inconvenient and easy to miss. How do I stop this automatic feature in Dreamweaver?Thanks for reading my question

Just for advanced notice the iPad is moving to be more aligned with the desktop OS than iOS.This probably means that developing sites, (rwd, pwa) may require more thought, (even using a mouse is an option) so it is probably worth looking at what is happening yourself, especially the 'desktop-class browsing'.I don't have full details, (Chrome books dev site, is also discussing this) but see -https://www.apple.com/uk/newsroom/2019/06/the-new-ipados-powers-unique-experiences-designed-for-ipad/and just in case you are wondering, this is what brought my attention to this -https://developer.apple.com/documentation/safari_release_notes/safari_13_beta_release_notes

Every time the color selector box pops up if I am typing in an HTML color code, or attempting to change the color on the CSS settings panel my dreamweaver completely crashes. This has only been happening for a couple weeks and happen EVERY time I try. It's really starting to get annoying. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? I am completely updated I believe. My adobe application manager doesn't say I have an update and I have auto update enabled.

I tried to get into Dreamweaver and got the message below.  It s a licensed copy which I bought years ago. I logged into my Adobe account and went into chat.  The agent said he can't find my account.  It certainly should be there under my adobe ID which is the email I logged in with.  He finally suggested I post my problem here.  I just need it to support one website, but wasn't able to get any help there.  Any ideas or am I completely screwed?

Hello, New to Github and trying to use dreamweaver to connect withI have already cloned a repository, i can push and pull, not really a big deal.However, when i created a branch just now on the Github website (named "Style-optimizations") things got a bit more complicated for me.I manage to pull the files from this branch, but i am starting to wonder what exactly the "branch" dropdown on the git-panel does?? (please find dropdown with "optimization" in image below)The newly created branch did not appear there, i manually created one in dreamweaver named "optimization" with "manage branches" dialog.Now in my Git-panel i have "Master" and "optimization" but selecting these does nothing to my local folders in my case.Is this normal behavior or am i missing something? Hi, I have puchased long ago a copy of DW CS4 which I still seldom use, and is ok for what I need. Now I have bought a new pc and I have troubles in migrating the software.I insert the cd, go through the installation process, insert the serial number, but then I get a message that this is an update for GoLive CS2 or 9 and that I have to write the serial number. Instead, when I bought it, I used to upgrade from GoLive 5.0. I still have GL 5.0 but its serial number isn't recognized.What shall I do?I tried contacting support via chat, but they suggested me to ask on the forum since they have no information for an old software like this.Thank you for any helpElena
