Questions

This seems like such an elementary question, but on my blank pages the text goes from border to border. I'd like to have some space at each side, but I don't want to have to create a table between every inserted photo in order to keep the text from running off the edges every time. I know it's an easy solution somewhere, but I don't know where it is.

Hello all, I've got a slight issue with two divs overlapping in mobile view on this site which is in it's initial stages Welcome to Merlin's Cafe  - everything reduces down fine apart from the picture and form divs which when the layout shrinks down to fit a mobile screen the form goes over the top of the cafe image rather than sitting underneath of it as it should do. Hopefully someone can help  out as to why this is, something obvious I'm guessing/hoping that my slightly tired mind can't spot! Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi, I'm trying to use an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) running macOS 10.14.4, and I'm having issues with Dreamweaver 18.2.0.10165. when I first start the application, several pages reopen. This wouldn't be an issue, except that Dreamweaver plays each page's sound file in unison, and it causes the application to appear frozen initially. I know that the best solution would be to update the entire creative cloud suite to the latest version, but, IT says that this is the newest version that they can run given the institutional licensing. I'm not the only one having these issues on our campus. It's affecting classes that are offered on campus. One teacher had a similar problem this morning with Premiere Pro, but, IT can't update it. What can I do? I don't want to switch to a PC because all of my work is stored on a mac formatted disk. Thanks!

In order to be google secure, I had to enable SSL on my sites. Doteasy added a redirect to accommodate HTTPS, and they no loner display -Not Secure_ in address, however the Slideshows and toggle navigation are not working properly.Can anyone tell me how to change the code to be HTTPS compatible with the slideshows and toggle navigation?Here is an example[link deleted by a moderator]

I have several .php forms that do not display properly once I enabled SSL. My host provider says some pages actually need to be manually modified to comply with the google required HTTPS. The website I'm creating has a footer that contains the standard copyright info, which is just "Copyright", the symbol and name of the company.  But now I've added to the page a background image from a free stock website (Pexel) that specifies unrestricted usage.  Do I have to alter my copyright footer to specify that it isn't my image?  I googled around but couldn't find the answer, and I thought perhaps developers here would be able to tell me.  Thank you!

I haven't worked on my website for at least two years due to other obligations, and now I've discovered that numerous pages all have broken image links and missing background images. I have a lot of images inserted, and what a pain it's going to be to relink every single one. The image files are all there - they're just aren't linked. Is there a better/quicker way to relink them all other than doing it all one-by-one, which could take days/weeks? I have CS6, btw. I have a screenshot if it helps.

Beginner here. Just started using dreamweaver and am creating my first site. Not sure what happened but I can no longer see the 4.2.1 snippets and when I try to insert one it tells me its not compatible. Can someone tell me how I can restore the snippets? Or should I start using 4.3.1 and if so - what do I need to do to make what I created so far compatible.Using a Mac and Dreamweaver 19.1thanks.

I've been making some changes to my website, and I noticed that after I tweaked things a bit and added a photo or two, the text on the website is now all aligned to the center. I checked DW and it looks good there; it's still aligned to the left - the way I want it, so I wouldn't know what to change. I certainly didn't knowingly change the alignment in any way. Any ideas on how to correct this? I have DW CS6.

I remember, from the 1990s, when I last used Dreamweaver (2.0?), it was a WYSIWYG interface.  It would let you create drop down menus.  Where do I look for this on Brackets?

How do I open one HTML file from another without the user having to mouse click?  E.G.  Index.html opens a welcome HTML, a help HTML, and the root page of the tree.

We are back into the holiday period, so I thought a little discussion might help to break the monotony.in another discussion I have posted in, (not in this forum) I have read a post that says, "do not try to re-invent the wheel", but should that not be, "do not try to re-invent conventions" especially when it comes to the web?We all know that a main menu should be close to the top of the page, (no matter how it works), but is the way a menu is presented so well established that the current method cannot be improved, or should not be changed? The latest version of DreamWeaver CC installs correctly on my Windows 7 (Service Pack 1), but when I launch program, the opening screen appears and the wheel just keeps spinning like it is going to fully open, but it does not and I'm force to quit. Has this happened to anyone recently. If so, any resolution? I don't have "Web Companion" or any other extensions that could block the launch of DreamWeaver. And I have all the font files in my system that Adobe requires. Thanks!

My navigation bar has always worked fine in Chrome. I added one more page to the menu and now all my submenus are visible and the links with submenus don't work. I tried it in Mozilla and it seems fine, but it always worked in Chrome. The site is www.winvoices,comHere is a screenshot of the problem.

In resurrecting this site I'm seeing collapsed pages where templates have been.  I can't create new pages, and I can't add to or otherwise modify existing pages.  Need to take one problem at a time.  Anyone game? I've been away from this for three years and everything is rusty.
