i am creating an ecommerce website in Adobe Dreamweaver Bootstrap with digital downloads. I am fine creating the website, however, does anyone know how to set up digital pdf files on an ecommerce website that can be downloaded after purchasing the file? My client also,wants to limit the number of downloads to one.Thank you.

Is it possible to connect to DW where I'm able to edit and upload my content through DW?

For an outside project for a friend, I want to set up a simple club registration program, and all I have to work with is Dreamweaver MX 2004. I use Visual Studio.Net/SQL for work, and if possible, would like to have DW work like it in terms of the same program being event driven to capture, edit and save form data to an Access file, rather than pass the form data to a second program for editing then via session variables to a third one to save it. Cumbersome in the extreme So can this version of DW do this? I'm guessing it might have to be done with Javascript if so, which I don't really have, at least to a comfort level beyond shaky. And if so, what might be needed on the host side? I think they are hosted on GoDaddy (I have no control over that).TIA!elaine

When creating a mobile app with Dreamweaver cs6, the only library or framework available is jquery mobile. Is there a way I can style the default jquery mobile look to look like material skin?  I really love the look of material skin and I want to use Dreamweaver to design a mobile app. I have used other framework though but I want to try Dreamweaver and see.Your answers are highly appreciated.Thank you.David Pascal

Every time a search is done in DW it first counts how many files it's going to search. This must just be so the progress bar can show how far its got. Trouble is it takes almost as long to count the files as it does to search them, meaning every search is twice as long as it need to be. With 30K+ files, that's a lot of wasted time any time a full site search is run.How can the counting step be turned off?

In case others are coming up against this I just submitted it a bug in DW 2017 (however, I am not altogether sure the submission worked correctly). Mac OS 10.11Steps to Reproduce Bug: 1.  Cmd F to display Find and Replace dialog.2.  Select and copy a largish section of text from another doc (such as a Library item) and try to paste into either the Find or Replace field. Results:  All you get is a "bonk" error sound as you are not allowed to paste into it.Expected Results:As in the previous version before this update, you should be able to paste largish items of text, including Library items, into the Find or Replace fields. A workaround for now, however painful, is to reduce the amount of text you are trying to paste in and do everything one replace at a time...NB: I am also getting regular crashes doing search and replace and, as others have reported, tags are not auto closed correctly i.e. if you start a "<p>" then it completes as "</". Hi!I'm trying to update the copyright in a global footer template.  I open the template, make the changes,try to save, get this screen, and click "Update":And then I get this screen which I find completely confusing.I have no idea what this means or what to do about it and I'm afraid I'll mess up the whole site if I make an error.  Can anybody help me understand this and how to update the site without making a problem?Thanks!!    (I'm on Windows 7 and DW CS6.)

hello every onei expose my problemusing Dreamweaver CS4  i try to create a tiny web page using 2 framesFirst frame is filled with a list of celebrities  born in 1921 ( as an exemple ) extracted from wikipedia's page of 1921the links of each celebritie's names are all pointing on their wikipageThe other one is  the visualisation frame pagethe point is that basically links lead to the selfframe though i want them pointing to the visualisation's oneI could change the target frame one by one...but you can imagine the time needed...Is there a trick to change the target frame for all links at once ?thank you

Hi folks,I'm dipping back into DW after a long absence. Currently watching a Bootstrap tutorial on Lynda.com that was recorded on DW 2015. The presenter uses the element display a lot, and I'm not seeing one or finding any way to kick one on – or any reference to toggling element display on/off in the docs.Was the feature tossed, or am I missing the obvious?DW 2017.0.2 / iMac 27" retina late 2015 / macOS Sierra.

I want to abandon wordpress and use dreamweaver.

I have several Web pages on my laptop that give different results when trying to preview them in a browser from Dreamweaver 2017.  A file in a site at C:\Users\myname\subfolder\subfolder\index.html works fine when I right click on the filename tab in Dreamweaver, click Open in Browser, and then select a browser (both Firefox and IE were successful).  However, when I try the same procedure with a file located at C:\folder\subfolder\index.html, Firefox returns "Server Not Found," and IE returns "Unable to find file," or some other 404 type error.  Additionally, when I create a completely new and very simple file, save it on the desktop, and test it with Open in Browser, it also works file.  What am I missing with the erroneous scenario??I've read many posts, but haven't found an answer, so thanks in advance for your help.

I'm working on converting a batch of old templates from some well meaning attempts to create web pages by someone who knows just enough to be dangerous (all embedded style-sheets, all layout is done with structural tables, XHTML 1.0 is mixed with HTML 5, etc.), and I'm taking this one document at a time.One of the requirements is if a table (and yes, a few of these pages do still require structural tables, as much as I'd like to rip that right out across the board) has more than one data column (nearly all the tables have a header column and at least one data column), then every other data column needs to be shaded, or in other words, alternating column colors.A feature I've added in is the ability to hover over a row and have the whole row turn gray. My CSS file is from a previous project.See screenshot below. Since this is a new project it should be creating a temp folder and it shouldn't be referencing/linking to the CSS file of an old project. I'm getting an error "The component is not fully compatible with the current Bootstrap CSS/JS file (lower than V3.0)".I've searched this forum and followed all the advice for possible solutions. Most of the previous posts with this exact topic are a couple years old.I have cleared all preferences from exe. file, I'm in standard/live view for everything. I need some help. I started using my Dreamweaver yesterday, everything works great; however, when I try to run a project that I did earlier in the week, it says I need the Netscape/Firefox plugin. Where do I go to install it? Please and thank you!ZS

I keep getting this error message whenever I try to insert a bootstrap 'grid row with column' into a container-fluid.Does anyone know why this might be happening? I'm not sure what's going on with DW 2017 CC but when I docked the properties panel to the bottom, put a table on the page, then put the cursor in the cell, the props panel will NOT allow me to scroll down to the other fields.  Please look at image below. See where it says HORZ - CENTER?  I cannot scroll down to the VERTICAL field and note the W field; below is the H field but I cannot get down there as well.Another problem is when I add a table, the table box or interface is screwed up.  I have no idea why as the previous version of DW was working great.
