Questions

I know it's not possible to create a template using fluid grid layout in the CS6 version of Dreamweaver that I have, but I'm wondering if it's possible in later versions or on the cloud?

I'm working on a flexbox containing ten equal figures, I justified the content, but when the items spread downward, they overlap the footer.The footer also appears further up the screen in a mobile view.I'm not sure what's wrong.

Some of my html pages in code view, are nice and large. Some are very small and hard to read. When I'm in DW, and I'm in code view and the text is small how can I see it larger?I don't see a magnification option like you get in Word.I'm in DW8

I've seen a couple of old threads on this, but wondered if anyone might have new or better suggestions.I purchased a template online that came with a number of different "versions" and images files. The first thing I did was select the version I wanted to use and copied it to a new file with a new name. As I've been working with the file, I've done a lot of custom work and have changed the css a lot, as well as created new images in Photoshop.At this point there are many, many files that are not being used in my custom .html file. I know in InDesign you can "package" the project, and I wonder if there is something similar in DW2017 (or an extension). I've tried the orphaned files report in the Site menu, but it actually gives me false results; I know some of the files mentioned in it are actually called in the html or in popups.Thanks everyone.

Hiya Everyone,My CSS file is very clean and split up into multiple sections with some sections having multiple seconds within, and alike a multi-drop-down menu I have collapsed each sections code within, however if I then save and send to another developer, the code is not collapsed for them but is when I relaunch my Adobe CC Dreamweaver.Is there a way to save how I have collapsed my code for them to open and see this at all?Best Regards,Tim !

Hi,I came across the 960 grid for creating layouts, but I want to use a responsive grid.I then found CSS files from unsemantic.com, but had some apparent trouble with the 'clearfix' for some block items that weren't 100% width.Bootstrap seems to be the framework to go with, but I'm not yet familiar with it, and there seem to be many other options.Does anyone have any advice on what is the best CSS or framework to use for universally compatible web design?Thanks Matt

Luego copio el código HTML del index original a cada fichero y borro el original, poniendo los includes. Pero no coge la hoja de estilos ni el javascript. ¿Por qué? I have a subscription to creative cloud.  When I open creative cloud to use a program -- such as Dreamweaver -- now I see a "start trial" button instead of a "open" button.  What do I do about this?

Found one page that was all over the place so tried to return to ap div so I could move everything back into place. Nothing. What is going on? HelloI have read a number of similar questions but none seem to address my issue.I cannot seem to move a div titled "rightside" to go there. I have been a little slow upgrading to Dreamweaver simply because I am so familiar with GoLive. My biggest client has an online menswear shop using Romancart and doesn't want to change. However, all the pages which contain coding for romancart are not displaying in the layout view. The page is blank with 2 white bars top and bottom and no content in between.This is frustrating - and the only reason I didn't want to switch to DW. But my Mac OS is so old now, I have to upgrade which means GoLive won't work anymore.Is there a simple solution?Or will I have to rebuild the entire website from the start?Romancart uses form code so why isn't it displaying?

Hi,I installed Windows 10 on my computer and reinstalled Dreamweaver 2015. Now, the "live" view is missing some of the page's content. This makes it way harder to edit the page, since I can only view the code and not work off the live version. Anyone else experience this problem?Thanks for any help.

I'm new to DW CC2017, but not new to DW. I recently upgraded and since I'm having issues. I tried to edit two pages on my website. The edit went fine so I tried to upload to the web, but I can't get the new version of the page to display. It shows the old version. I tried to FTP with Filezilla, no luck. I went to the local version on my HD and when I open the file it displays the new version. So I tried Real-time preview and that shows the old version even though I have selected the saved new version.Can somebody help me figure this out? I have been to my web host and there is nothing wrong there. It is as if my system is maintaining the old version no matter what and there are two copies of the same file.

I'm a beginner at web creation. Simple question. We want to create a new website in Dreamweaver CC and set it up so that content can be updated outside of Dreamweaver by other people. I think I understand that Contribute is toast and the Catalyst does not integrate with the latest Dreamweaver CC. i just want a simple solution for content updating outside of Dreamweaver by those who know nothing about web development. So I'd like the top of my pages to feature an image that stretches to fill the width at all times, while maintaining a specific overall aspect ratio. For the sake of argument, let's say cinematic 16:9 (or 1.777777) -- so if the viewport is 800px wide, the image will be 450px high (and follow in real-time if that width changes) -- then, the rest of the flow of the page.I really like using divs for everything, so I'd favor a div background solution over an img src one, but will default to whatever the best available solution is. I did try background-size: cover already -- which opened up some interesting new UX avenues -- but iOS seems to have serious issues with it; So I told myself that perhaps a more traditional "fit to width and retain proportions" approach might yield friendlier results. Of course, as a designer, I could be underestimating the complexity of what I'm describing.

Hi,I have downloaded index file from this website, after downloading has started editing a file with Dreamweaver software. As soon as I open index file with Dreamweaver for editing it stopped working. Have tried this many times, but I am not Able to open index file in Dreamweaver. Normally I develop on a remote server in a password-protected folder, so I just send the client the username and password that allow them to access and view the site in production. However, this time I am developing on localhost using a virtual host name that replicates the educational institution name in order to test their CAS (centralized authentication service) with the site. So the question is how do I all them to view the site on localhost? I have found this software https://pagekite.net/ but don't know if there are other, better alternatives.

As some of you may recall I'm new to web design and very inexperienced.I've just spent some time practising with the free trial Dreamweaver download.I'm now practising with the Muse free trial download.Advantages to Muse clearly is not having to learn code.But would appreciate some feedback on Muse's limitations and disadvantages against Dreamweaver?Any help and input appreciated.Thanks

Dreamweaver stopped functioning after update.  The app loads fine, when i click on a page to edit from any of my project folders i get an error message stating 'dreamweaver has stopped worked and the program must close'  I tried to uninstall/reinstall but that did not work.  Any thoughts?  I use Dreamweaver CC 2017.  Thank you[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can "connect with your peers" from across all of Adobe's products for conversations that don't directly relate to help and support) to a product-specific support forum - moderator]
