I am designing a website that has to take into account Section 508 requirements. They usually concern providing a description for images using the alt element and providing a key-entered alternative to access various form fields. All can be found here:https://www.hhs.gov/web/section-508/making-files-accessible/checklist/html/index.htmlSeveral of the questions deal with CSS disabled. My question is since text should be visible even with CSS disabled, does that mean that I should plan on black text on a white background only? I don't know if white text on a black background will even be visible with CSS disabled.

I upgraded to Dreamweaver 2017, found out about the hi-resolution display bug (how ridiculous is that?), and reverted to Dreamweaver 2015. I can't seem to centre my cascading navbar within my fluid grid layout. I've tried setting ul margins to 0px auto but it knocks the submenus out and seems to remove the fluidity for the mobile grid. I'm quite sure it'll be something very obvious, but I can't think what.  Can anyone help?

I have used images for my main menu items and cascading block for the sub items.  The main menu items show the images I want, but with the colour block behind them, which I don't want.  How do I make the block on the main menu invisible, or remove it completely, without it affecting the sub menu colours and hovers?

When editing a site in "Managed Site" mode... ONLY the "LIVE" view button is available. When I edit a page that is not part of a "Managed Site", then the Design & Live view dropdown has both options. I still want "Design View" when editing a "Managed Site"Thanks

I'm adapting a desktop layout for mobile, and what should be a useful feature -- ie, mobile devices' ability to auto-fit layouts that would otherwise be too large into the viewport -- is proving to be an obstacle. Basically, I created a layout that has max-widths and min-widths specified on the main divs, specifically to deal with a large (desktop) and narrow (mobile) viewports.The wide desktop layout will fill about 1000px in width of actual content. If I narrow the browser's viewport to half that (to simulate a narrow mobile view), the DIVs gracefully narrow while font size stays the same. In theory, all my bases are covered for 500px upward (it stops at 1000px)The only problem is that my iPhone and iPad try to accommodate the max-width value of the desktop layout instead of falling back on min-width. Like it's trying to be TOO useful. So what I end up with is a zoomed-out layout that's difficult to read due to tiny font size.Is there a command I can include somewhere that'll tell mo

Hey Guys,I am pulling my hair out with this one.. I built a website with Boostrap in Dreamweaver CC 2017,and all is good, but when you build a page using bootstrap it puts a jQuery call at the bottom or the page example below... The problem arises when I try to add a random image rotator that also uses jQuery but a different version, and so if I get rid of the jQuery call at the bottom of the page (1.11.3min.js) the navbar dropdown menus stop working, but the random image rotator works. And if I get rid of the call for the random rotator the navbar starts working again..I have tried several different image rotators that are jQuery and they will not work while the Boostrap jQuery call is at the bottom of the page.How can I get all to work on the page? I am designing a website for a software design class and am almost done except for the fact that the buttons I created in my navbar are not changing colors when hovered or even working as links to other pages. The weird thing is that they work on the two other pages ("songs" and "videos") but do not work on the home or bio pages. Hi.  What is the future for classic ASP? I have coded all of my websites in classic ASP but, recently, have noticed that software companies are starting to release, mainly, PHP extensions.   Are there vulnerabilities with classic ASP? Will classic ASP code still work in the future?   I'm concerned that I'm going to be forced to convert all of my sites to a technology I have no experience of which is, if course, going to be an absolutely massive task as I manage over 50 websites.   And what happens, when I devote a year or two learning a new technology and converting all of my websites, when it is no longer supported?   PHP looks completely alien to me, but at the same time I don't want to learn ASP.NET because I've already learnt ASP and rumour is that it will no longer be supported.  Is there any technology / programming language that will be here for the duration?   RegardsNath.

I am using Dreamweaver, mySQL, and PHP to build a db query and present it in a table. I can create a recordset and add the select statement by cut-and-paste (it has sub-selects in it). The "test" button shows the query properly but once it is inserted the "Bindings" tab it produces a 1064 error 'near '' at line 2'. The table actually loads properly in a browser but the "Bindings" is not correct and the recordset sometimes disappears from the tab. Now I have multiple versions of the recordset in the code but nothing in the tab. Is the query too complex? Do I need to do something else?

The extension manager does not recognize my copy of Dreamweaver.  This prevents me from loading an extension from extend studio.  I g et an error message that I need  version 9 or later.  I have version 11.5.  Any solution?

Has anyone been able to get Dreamweaver (2017.0.1 Release 9346 Build) to connect via SFTP with ED25519 Private Key?I recently moved servers to a new host.  In doing so, I changed from SSH2 4096 Keys to the newer preferred SSH ED25519 Keys.I have not been able to get Dreamweaver to connect to the new server with the ED25519 Keys. I keep getting the following message:An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host.Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information.Putty and WinSCP both connect fine to the server.I suspect that possibly Dreamweaver does not know what to do with the ED25519 Keys. I have triple checked that I am using the correct Private Key and Passphrase IP Address, etc., same as Putty and WinSCP. I am not sure what else might be the issue on my end.Any ideas from anyone or help from Dreamweaver Devs would be appreciated. I don't want to downgrade Keys on the server if I don't have to just to get Dreamweaver to work.Thank you!John

Hi everyone, Is there any way of having a different favicon on different pages on the same website? For example on all the files in a certain subfolder. I have a website which hosts multiple unrelated projects (each in it’s own subfolder) and it would be good if each could have it’s own favicon. Will DW ever have Terminal Integration?

I am using Foundation for Sites. Is there a work flow anyone is using? Right now I use DW for anything that I do that isn't Foundation related which is getting less and less. I use terminal to spin up a Foundation/Handlebars site and Visual Studio to edit. I was trying tonight to use the Live reload in DW and it doesn't work for this. What am I doing wrong?

There is a center column of text that appears to have a transparent box over it, making the text and graphics lighter. Any help in getting rid of it?
