Hi, I would like to place a different background image on each of the site's pages by applying a different class to each of the page's BODY tag, like you see below. body.classname {background: url() no-repeat center fixed;} But how can you do this if you're building your site via a Dreamweaver Template? You don't have access to the BODY tag once the page is created becuase it's not an "editable region." Is there away around this? Thanks for any help you can provide. Kind regards, Mark 

I have just tqken on fome major projects that I will be publishing with Dreamweaver.  I have been using DWUser MaxiMenu for severl years with Dreqmweaver.  One project was a modification to an old site.  MaxiMenu would let me go in and make changes but would not save them.  So I started one of the new sites, and the menu will set up OK, but when you save it cannot find any pages to save it to.  Not sure if it is the result of more recent Dreamweaver upgrades or a flawe MM.  It appears that  DW user may be out of business .  I have sent may support requests on their menu an no response.  I ealmailed their support manytimes and no response.  As final resort I mailed their sale department and no responss.Doesn't seem to be any other providers of Menus for Dreamweaver and I am too old to try to learn another  web development program.  Any ideas?Pat

Hello. I started a trial to use Dreamweaver and so far I am considering of keeping it. But I would like to know if my colleague can use it as well coz we are 2 developpers in the company (and probably more to come) so we need to have the licence for more then one computer. Thanks

Hi, I'm kinda new to Bootstrap and I created a carousel.  I've noticed that whenever I hover my mouse over it the carousel stops.  I don't want this to happen.  I did a little research and found if I put in "data-pause=false" or "data-bs-pause="false" that it would correct this.  I tried doing this and it still pauses whenever the mouse hovers. Here is the website:http://taffyproductions.com/test/ Thanks for any help. PS. Lately I have been working more with CSS sites  When doing so, thie veryh nice CSS property screen would come up and make the job easier.  Lately it no longer comes up and I cannot find anwher to access it.  I am nearly dead in the water without it.    Any ideas 

Hi all. I am trying to create a website that does the function of Parcel2Go. I need to be able to sell postage labels and then for buyers to be able to purchase these (using a payment gateway). I will then use an API to create a postage label once the buyer has paid. I need some guidance on how to do this and how it will work. Any help will be greatly appreciated! 

Hi there, I forgot I had to IMPORT my dreamweaver sites, not just transfer files. SETTINGS - I went back to my old computer and Exported to create the .ste file, but where should this be saved in order for the settings to be brought in? I put it in the root folder, but it made no difference.(Also, when exporting, I no longer get the Exporting Dialog box, just straight to selecting where to save the .ste file. So I hope my original selection was the correct one.) CSS - Critically, my site pages now appear with no formatting, even though the style sheets have been copied over with the rest of it.  Can anyone help please? Every time I open Dreamweaver on my Mac, I get the following message:"This page contains some SWF objects that may not work properly in the most recent versions of Internet Explorer. Dreamweaver cannot convert them to the new SWF markups. Please delete each of them and insert again."On my website, this means the buttons in the margins do not show up on my website on the internet, and thus it is no longer possible to navigate from one page to another.Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I can understand, the simplest solution is for me to go into the html of the template page and replace the html of each SWF object (of each button) with more recent html. Hallo zusammen,mein Problem: Ich habe die DW CC-Lösung im Einsatz. Brauche aber jetzt (zusätzlich) unbedingt wieder das gute alte CS6, das aus früheren Zeiten noch auf meinem PC installiert ist. Die Lizenz hatte ich damals nicht verlängert, als ich auf CC umgestiegen bin. Wenn ich CS6 aufrufen will, heißt es "Anmeldung erforderlich" und eine Testversion soll registriert werden. Mein Software-Händler sagt, CS6 wäre nicht mehr lieferbar. Habt ihr irgendeine Idee? Ich brauche die Version CS6, würde es auch gerne kaufen, wenn ich es nur bekommen könnte...Freue mich über jedes Feedback!Viele GrüßeSteffe

Quite often, I use the "select recently modified" file to update the website.  When it runs, it expands every directory on the website, so the list gets to be very long.     I need to figure out how to COLLAPSE the list after the files are uploaded.  Now, I have to go manually though each directory containing a highlighted file and click on the directory name to collapse the listing back to something small.

Just got an update from Adobe yesterday and now when I try to launch Dreamweaver CC 2019, I get "Dreamweaver can't find the menus.xml file".  The file is in the path, so clearly even the error must not be indicative of the real problem.  I've tried moving menus.bak, same issue.  Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, same issue.  I am on a MacBook Pro 15" 2018 running Mojave.Looks like I'll have to be very leery of any future updates as I can't afford to lose hours troubleshooting a subscription based application.How do I fix this?

I already changed the setting, but the code color always black.Anyone know what happen?

Another newbie here trying to use preview to view PHP files without success. I had a paid version of DreamweaverCs6 which I got on download from a third party supplier, who is now out of business. I was given a serial number which allowed me to activate the product.About a week ago my computer crashed and I lost all my programs.I tried to reinstall Dreamweaver from the backup but it will not accept the serial number.I called the Adobe help line and spoke to someone about this.  He checked and said I had a invalid serial number,  I gave him my proof of purchase ($238.87-inc tax).but he refused to help trying to get me to buy a new version at CAD $311.88/yr.This in my view is pretty shabby support.  Is there anything that the Support Commmuity can do/Thanks.Gary   

I have recently done two thingsReinstalled the CentOS image on my Linux server with Plesk Obsidian.Dreamweaver had issues connecting to this fresh install so I followed this guide on the Adobe site to clear my configureation: Unable to connect to SFTP in Dreamweaver Since doing this, everytime I upload any folder using Dreamweaver, the permission is set to 700 and everytime I upload a file, the permission is set to 600. I contacted my server provider and they attempted to replicate the situation, uploading files to the server, however they were sucessful in doing so with the correct permissions. They did not specify their upload tool, however it was by S/FTP. Their ResponseI have not been able to replicate the issue, when I accessed using the FTP for the user tim and uploaded a test file and folder the file had 644 permissions and the folder 755, this is what I would expect as a default. Since then, I have attempted to run through the Abobe Cleaner Tool, uninst

DW created PhP (v7.4) page is throwing this warning linked to my DB connection file.Seen a few suggestions recommending adding the following to the php.ini fileUnder dynamic extenstions;  extension=php_mbstring.dllextension=php_mysql.dllextension=php_mysqli.dll But it hasnt resolved the warning issue.Any other suggestions ?

Hi, my url is www.bberryfarms.org.It's running just fine online with ionos. I think I've somehow corrupted theBOOTSTRAP file that is referenced by the .html files. After introducing a new bootstrap .html file into the folder,all of the .html files with "cards" shifted the "card" images to the right to about half their width.This shows up in live view as well as preview.Is it possible to replace the bootstrap file once it's been corrupted? ... or something??I have screen shots if it helps.ThanksLance

I am using Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2020...My website is in PHP...So when I want to edit it I normally use the LIVE view...But the problem is it keeps prompting me to save every second...How do I disable it?
