Whenever I launch Dreamweaver CS5 I get a pop up notice:The extension manager will now launch and finish updating Dreamweaver.I click OK and the app launches and I accept the terms and conditions. Meanwhile dreamweaver starts up in the background and immediately closes.The extension manager shows an error: The extension "Dreamweaver HTML5 Pack' does not contain valid signature.  The extension will not be installed.I believe I downloaded this awhile ago and it loaded OK for Photoshop CS4. What can I do to get rid of this extension issue?

I need to know if the only way to use Dreamweaver to design a web site is by using code or if can be avoid it's use.

Our website was made using Dreamweaver in 2013. I am new to Dreamweaver and am needing to update our website. I keep getting a message about Adobe Flash Player is not support. What do I need to do? Thanks!

Basic Search and Replace functionality and a huge part of my productivity is broken in the latest version of dreamweaver.  You simply can't specify the scope of the search.  Can't specify if it's just this document, open documents or All documents within a folder or selected documents.  You also can't specify whether you're search and replacing text or Source code and you can't specify case sensitivity.  It's basically completely useless now?   Did someone hit themselves in the head with a hammer when they were addressing this functionality for this update?This functionality did NOT need to be "improved"  it was perfect previously.  This needs to be a popup window so we can copy and paste code in from different documents as that is sometimes necessary for large scope search and replaces.   Is it just me or is Adobe constantly breaking their own programs?  Also let us access old workable stable versions of your software because

I changed the template and refreshed all the HTML pages, fine.  I just wanted to upload the 20 HTML files that got changed but alas, the upload feature checks every file on the site making process very lengthly. Is there a way I can upload JUST the .htm (HTML) files only.... and skip the images, pdfs, and other files?

Shame on the Adobe developemtnet team!  This level of hassle with each and every single upgrade is not tolerated. Fire the [bleepers] and get new developers. I've been at this for months, and with each upgrade I have to waste much otherwise billable time. I am going to start sending them invoices!  I am still having to use two versions prior and I have the greatest of all brand new iMacs—only a year old, with 72RAM and 3.7 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5.  Not a good experience and certianly not good business.  Ever hear of "Testing?"  Hello!!!

I've managed to get the site just about to the point of uploading a test version, but before I do that I want to eliminate the css info in the pages themselves and link them to an external style sheet. I left it in the pages because there were a number of times that I needed to modify it before the whole set of child pages were complete. I'm prertty sure that it's not likely to change significantly from now.   I've saved out the css for each of my template pages. I am assuming that once I delet the <style> infor from the template and link it to the seperate css file in the css folder that when I save it it will update all the child pages. Is this correct?   So the main issue is; *how* do I link it. What is the proper format for doing that? I'm assuming that the link to the css file goes where the <style> info is now, but how much of a path do I need to specify? The template files, after all, are probably not going to be uploaded to the site, either for testing or

I have inherited a site with couple of thousand pages. I have updated a template and applied it to the pages in dev. Is there a way to push this update to production without SFTPing each page individually?

Hidden characters do not show with this selection enabled:View menu > Code View Options > Hidden CharactersThis does not work today nor last night when only two of my ten students could see them using this setting (they were remote using different computers). I have edited a number of pages and created a few more. All looks good when I preview them but when I go to upload them I notice that the dates are wrong and when they are uploaded they are missing the new/edited elements. I have looked at the folder my site is in and the dates again have not changed to the day I edited the file.I do this every week and only just started to get this issue. I have dumped the site on the server and uploaded from scratch but the issue persists. I have cleared my Safari History and Cookies but there is no change.Could someone please help with this as its driving me nuts after spending most of the day trying to sort it out.I am using OS Monterey and using Transmit to upload.Thank in advance

Hello.Using DW 21.2 under Win10 Pro (up to date). Dreamweaver crashes during launch, no matter what, starting the error report. Reinstallation of DW did not solve the problem.What can I do?Regards, Guido

Does Dreamweaver have any plans to update to Bootstrap 5.0? The dreamweaver version I use only has up to 4.4 (and 4.6 has been widely available for some time). What is the Adode's policy with respect to updating to5.0 -- or can I update it myself? Thanks! Jim

Help! An HTM file opened fine and showed all my coding/text. Then somehow it only shows <h in the Display view—nothing else (screen shot #1). If I open the file in a browser, you can see that the formatting is running all together but the content is all there (screen shot 2#). I was attempting to try to fix the formatting when all the text disappeared in the Display view. Since all the content is still there (screen shot #2), it makes me think that this is just a display/view problem in Dreamweaver and that I have not lost all the content, but I don't know. I also need help fixing the file since it is supposed to look like screen shot #3. That was my original goal before I couldn't find where all the text went. Thank you for any help!

After years of using DW and Contribute  have had to subscribe to Creative Cloud version of DW as my paid versions will not work. I found after a reinstall from Creative Cloud that my pages are reduced in size on laptop browsers, but still show as normal on iPad and Mobile. Adobe support suggests Self Help with Bootstrap, what ever that is, or this Forum. Any suggestions welcome please, site is www.astonvision.co.uk   [Attachments removed by moderator. Dreamweaver CC21Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.2,2 TB Solid State SATA driveiMac (Retina 5K, 27" Late 2015)3.3 GHz Quad core, 24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon M395 2 GB This is a problem that I have had for a fair few months and it first appearded on the previous version of DW as well.The app crashes when I close a html page I have been working on. It is very common if I have 4 or 5 pages open at the same time, but this is not exclusive.I have deleated the app an dreinstalled from Creative Cloud. I have Shift+Command+Option and cleared preferences on start up and I have also removed the entire mac preference folder content as well. What else can I try. I think its Adobe not me! Anyone else suffer this? Thanks.

I can not get the FTP log to display.  I do click on Site > Advanced > FTP Log but to no avail.  I tried clicking on the little planet icon at the bottom of my site files, next to the Refresh button.  Mousing over the Log icon gives me the hint "Refresh F5" if I click on it.  I am running Dreamweaver 21.2 on Win 11.  My laptop is up to date on both counts.

I have a file A in Desktop 1 that will upload to Server 2. I also have a copy of file A in Desltop 2. I want to make sure that file A in Desktop 1 will be automatically synced to file A in Desktop 2. How? 

I just upgraded my CSS to Boostrap 5. Now none of my related files will update in dreamweaver. When I click on update pages nothing happens the update pages box stays on the screen and no files are updated !! None of my carousels will work and I get errors on all pages with menus. The error is happening with Dreamweaver 21.2, using Cloudberry Drive 3.2.0.2 on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Mount S3 bucket as driveOpen Dreamweaver, navigate to an index.phpStart typing and receive the "Unspecified error" dialogue box.Changes seem to save but are not reflected in the live window. We do not get the same error using Cloudmounter. We would switch but have already invested in CloudBerry Licensing.

Yet again - I know just enough to get into trouble. Hopw do I tell it that it goes UNDER the header?
