Question

Since the most recent update to Fresco on my ipad pro, the link to export your drawings to Capture is gone!

Just like the title says. My workflow used to be create art in Fresco, then go to Publish and Export, then to Capture Pattern, and when I opened Capture I could use the art to make patterns.

All of a sudden after the most recent update, both of those links are gone, there’s an Export to Illustrator and Behance, but no way to “capture pattern” anymore.

Did it move or get renamed?  This is the one thing I really need to make my workflow operate.

iPad Pro 12.9 up to date.

help!

Yep!! Here to ask there same thing! Why???

It was so handy, easy to use, FREE and now its just gone. I love Fresco and I have always been amazed at its options and the scope of work you can do with it, as well as being against AI and now they start to sneak things out the back door, and its a little worrying. I don't want to go learn a whole new workflow and I don't want to start learning a whole new system too.
Please fix this and give us back what we actually use and desire.
    Thanks!

    Hello everyone,

Sorry for the late response. The current version of Fresco no longer has this option. I understand that this functionality is important to you, and I apologize for its unavailability at this time. Would you mind creating a UserVoice for this feature request (https://adobefresco.uservoice.com/) and adding your comments there? Adobe purposefully broke the one click connection between Fresco and their own app Capture. Why? I’d love to know. It has now made BOTH programs useless for me. I adopted the workflow of drawing vector shapes in Fresco, and directly importing all layers into Capture for pattern creation.

Then one update, and it’s all gone.

I do not have the budget or desire to pay monthly for Illustrator. No need for it at all.

So Adobe has simply made me leave their ecosystem. I am now exploring Affinity Designer and several other pattern apps and will try to rebuild from scratch.

There is some type of Import button within Capture, but it has yet to work for me. I hit the button, and the whole app freezes for about 1 minute, and nothing ever happens. So maybe there’s a long way to export out of Fresco via PDF, and import into Capture, but since the giant IMPORT button is dead, we’ll never know.

Thank you Adobe, very much appreciated removing such a simple, and useful way to connect your own two apps.
