Adobe Illustrator CC 2017.0.2 release crashes while launching

Yesterday I updated the 2017.0.2 release of Adobe Illustrator on both my Windows 10 Laptop and Desktop. When I launch Illustrator it shows the splashscreen for a short while and then the program crashes showing the note "Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 has stopped working". On both system I have uninstalled Illustrator and cleaned the registry with CCleaner. After reinstalling Illustrator the problem still remains. Please help!

Problem is solved! I read in the thread: "Illustrator CC crashes on every start after 2017.0.1 update" that my problem probably is related to Astute Graphics plugins. So I moved the Astute Graphics plugins folders to a different location, launched Adobe Illustrator (no errors this time), closed Adobe Illustrator, moved the Astute Graphics plugins folders back and re-launched Adobe Illustrator .... No more errors!!!

So definitely an Astute Graphics related problem!!

A small number of users have also reported this. Adobe have just released to minor stability fix updates in the past week which appears to have unsettled some systems.

Whilst we can't replicate it on any setups this end, we have worked with several users to find that it's simply a case of un-installing and re-installing our plug-ins. No need to re-apply license keys, etc.

We have just published this post for full guidance:

We hope this is of help!

Same Problem, I reported this to the Illustrator Support Team, 5 days later, there is no reply yet.

I un- and re-installed Illustrator and Creative Cloud Desktop. To no avail.

This is where things go sour. My event logs have nothing interesting in them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Anybody else with that problem, please submit a ticket at http://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

The more people do, the more likely a speedy solution will be found.

You have saved my day. Nay, my entire week! I have been using Affinity Designer for over a week cause Illo just wouldn't start any more. Kudos!
