Can't open a .dwg file in Illustrator CS5

So, I'm trying to open a .dwg file, and nothing is working. I have Illustrator CS5 Version 15.1.0, Signlab 10, but no AutoCad. Anybody have any suggestions? I can't open it in Signlab either.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please confirm, in which version of AutoCAD the file was created? Illustrator will not open AutoCAD files saved in a version later than AutoCAD 2007.
