Concept to Vector Error - Please slow down and try again later.

I used the new concept to vector feature with a lot of success yesterday morning but after an hour so of playing around, I am now getting an error message stating: Please slow down and try again later.

I have tried signing out of the creative cloud suite and updating Illustrator. I am unable to get to the tool to work for the tutorial that is on the start screen featuring the rocket and sketched head images. I also still have plenty of credits. Is there anything else I can do? I was hoping to use to vectorize my final background design for a menu.

Hi Anubhav and the Adobe team,

I'm experiencing the same issue on Adobe Illustrator 2026 for macOS.

Here are my test results:

Generative Shape Fill works normally.
Concept to Vector fails with “Please slow down and try again later.”
The error occurs with both Gemini and GPT models.
I have tried a different image, a simple prompt, signing out and back into Creative Cloud, restarting Illustrator, and switching to a mobile hotspot.
I still have 3,160/4,000 generative credits available.

This is blocking my urgent design work. Since other users are reporting the same issue, could you please share any updates or temporary workaround when available?

Same issue here. I tried on two different accounts and both are giving me the same error message.

Same error over here. I tried downgrading to V 30.8.1 and I am getting the same error in that version.

I am having the exact same issue today. Trying to use the concept to vector (which was working fine a couple of days ago) and I am getting the exact same message today. Tried same troubleshooting but still getting the same error. I am on version 30.8.2.

Hello! I updated illustrator this morning to 30.8.2.

It seems to be an intermittent issue as I was unable to get the file on the home page that highlights the tool to work about 20 mins ago and now its working.

I have a menu file I am working on. I have two generated backgrounds that I would like vectorize and make sure they are sharp prior to printing. Please see the attached screen shot. My prompt was: Convert the image into a clean vector illustration in a modern cartoon style. Preserve key features and recognizable details, use bold consistent outlines. The error happens regardless of which AI model I choose. Same with the prompt.
