Hammered Pattern in Illustrator

Hello,

I have been looking for a good tutorial to create a hammered metal effect pattern in Illustrator.

I have tried a few, but none are giving me quite the effect I am looking for.

I attached an image that is a pretty good representation of what I am trying to do.

If anyone can point in the direction of a good tutorial to do this, that would be great.

You maybe better off trying to create this outside of Illustrator so maybe in photoshop and then importing..?
